U.S. Sen. Thom Tillis, a supposed Republican, has vowed to block President Donald Trump’s Homeland Security (DHS) nominees until DHS Secretary Kristi Noem appears for a hearing.
According to Fox News, he specifically wants her to appear for a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing.
“My chairman has made two requests in this Congress to have the Homeland Security Secretary come before the committee, and they have yet to confirm that they’re coming,” he told reporters on Thursday.
“That is unacceptable, and so I am putting a hold on anything related to Homeland Security measures until we get an agreement and a scheduled time to come for committee at the least,” he added.
Critics say this is just another one of many, many, many examples of the notoriously treacherous Tillis being a worthless, RINO Republican (*Language warning):
Thom Tillis is scum and hated in NC. His reign of terror ends this year.

Tillis isn’t seeking reelection this year, meaning this will be his last year in office, much to the happiness of conservatives.
Besides making annoying ultimatums, Tillis has also been busy publicly bashing Noem’s response to what appears to be the justified shooting of an alleged left-wing extremist in Minneapolis by immigration officials.
“It was very unusual to have a senior law enforcement official to draw a conclusion about an event where the scene was still being processed,” he said Thursday about Noem’s conclusion that the alleged left-wing extremist was a domestic terrorist, according to The Hill.
“Law enforcement would recognize that a life was lost, that families are changed forever, the shooter’s life will change forever, we’re collecting video, we’re trying to assess the situation. That didn’t happen. Either Secretary Noem has a lot of information that she will share with us in the coming days that formed a basis for advising the president or she communicated too soon,” he added.
Tillis has also been busy publicly excoriating Homeland Security advisor Stephen Miller for defending the president’s interest in acquiring Greenland.
“I’m sick of stupid,” he said on the Senate floor this week. “I want good advice for this president, because I want this president to have a good legacy. And this nonsense on what’s going on with Greenland is a distraction from the good work he’s doing, and the amateurs who said it was a good idea should lose their jobs.”
Sen. Thom Tillis, R-N.C., railed against claims from the White House that the United States should assume control of Greenland.

Speaking later with CNN’s Jake Tapper, Tillis slammed Miller for saying during an interview days earlier that “Greenland should be part of the United States.”
“What I saw in your interview was unacceptable,” Tiller told Tapper. “And it made me a little cranky. What makes me cranky is when people don’t do their homework. What makes me cranky is when we tarnish the extraordinary execution of a mission I fully support in Venezuela by turning around and making insane comments about how it is our right to have territory owned by the Kingdom of Denmark.”
“Folks, amateur hour is over. You don’t speak on behalf of this US senator or the Congress,” he continued.
Tillis’ ultimatum comes months after Judiciary Committee chair Chuck Grassley reportedly sent two requests (one in June, the other in September) for Noem to come and testify.
