Infamous Trump-hating Florida man banned from pool for calling Biden critic a ‘fat slob’

An elderly man from the famous “The Villages” retirement home in Florida is banned from using the facility’s pool after verbally accosting a woman over her Joe Biden shirt.

Three of the five members of the Sumter Landing Community Development District Board of Supervisors voted to uphold the ban on Ed McGinty, barring him from the community pool until October 2022 over his behavior.

McGinty, 74, isn’t your average crabby old guy. During former President Donald Trump’s time in the Oval Office, McGinty would go viral for his disdain of the Commander in Chief. He would routinely wear clothing and adorn his golf cart with signs disparaging Trump. The left ate it up and he became something of a hater icon.

But his antics went too far when, in 2021, he spotted a woman, Liza Adkison, wearing a “Joe Biden sucks” shirt at the community pool. Naturally, he did what any reasonable person would do, and immediately launched into a verbal tirade, allegedly insulting her as a “fat slob” and telling her that her water workout wasn’t going to do anything about her size. He also reportedly threw in a “white trash” insult for good measure.

At one point during the heated confrontation, he reportedly demanded Adkison take the shirt off. Apparently, there’s only room for one political shirt-wearing person at the retirement home, and McGinty wasn’t ready to give up his spot.

But it didn’t end there, unfortunately. Reports indicate that Adkison would see McGinty outside of her home in his infamous golf cart, and she claims that he even fiddled with her garage. Police confronted the man, who claimed he was doing nothing wrong but opted to move down the street. It didn’t take long for him to be back in front of Adkison’s home, reportedly antagonizing her once again.

In September 2021, McGinty was arrested for stalking but was acquitted in April on the charge after it was determined there wasn’t enough evidence to support the claim. However, he was still unable to access the public pool where the beef first started.

He petitioned to have the ban lifted, and Adkison spoke out against him again.

“You can’t disrespect and berate others without consequences,” Adkison explained to the panel. “I would ask that you send a message to others to behave civilly and with tolerance.”

His petition was denied, and he will have to wait until October 26 to access the pool again.

Below is a video McGinty posted on YouTube in an attempt to explain the brush-up, and resulting political turf war that ensued:
