Ex-Minneapolis cop Derek Chauvin was reportedly stabbed 22 times in prison by a former Mexican Mafia gang leader and former FBI informant.
In a criminal complaint filed Friday, federal prosecutors announced attempted murder, assault with intent to commit murder, assault with a dangerous weapon, and assault resulting in serious bodily injury charges against John Turscak, 52.
“The complaint alleges that while incarcerated at Federal Correctional Institution Tucson, Turscak stabbed another inmate, D.C., who had previously been convicted of federal crimes in another district, approximately 22 times with an improvised knife,” a press release from the Department of Justice reads.
“Attempted murder and assault with intent to commit murder violations each carry maximum penalties of 20 years’ incarceration, while assault with a dangerous weapon and assault resulting in serious bodily injury each carry maximum penalties of 10 years’ incarceration,” the release continues.

Who is Turscak? A 2001 article from the Los Angeles Times identified him as a high-level Mexican Mafia gang member who at the time was competing with another member for control of the gang.
Prior to that, he was reportedly an FBI informant.
“Prosecutors said that Turscak was an FBI informant in 1997, providing information about his gang as well as recordings of conversations between him, members, and associates,” according to Fox News.
“The investigation resulted in 40 indictments, but halfway through, Turscak was dropped as an informant because he was dealing drugs, authorizing assaults, and extorting money,” Fox News notes.
As to why Turscak chose to attack Chauvin, prosecutors alleged he purposefully wanted to target a high-profile inmate.
Chauvin was “in the facility’s law library” when the attack occurred, the criminal complaint notes.
“A federal corrections officer immediately responded to the assault and deployed OC spray to subdue Turscak,” the complaint reads.

Afterward, he initially denied wanting to kill Chauvin but later admitted “he had been thinking about assaulting DC for approximately one month because DC is a high profile inmate.”
“He saw an opportunity to assault DC in the law library on Friday, November 24, 2023, the day after Thanksgiving commonly known as Black Friday,” the complaint reads.
Turscak said that the attack “was symbolic with the Black Lives Matter movement and the ‘Black Hand’ symbol associated with the Mexican Mafia criminal organizations,” according to the complaint.
Turscak later admitted “that he would have killed DC had [officers] not responded so quickly.”
Because of both Turscak’s past link to the FBI and the public perception that the FBI has become a left-wing political operation, some critics believe there’s more to this story and that the feds may be behind the stabbing, as farfetched as that sounds.

An innocent man gets stabbed in prison by an FBI informant.
What are the chances?

You would imagine that it was a common thug who tried to kill Chauvin in prison… but no, it was a deep state asset.

I thought for sure he was getting Epstined. Now there just throwing FBI informants in there and letting everyone know!

FBI informant got busted for committing crimes while being an informant coincidentally sent to the same prison as Derek chauvin and proceeded to stab him 22 times. BS.

Then, all of a sudden, when Chauvin is trying to get his verdict overturned with a new trial, this man just happens to stab him.
Tell me the FBI didn’t give him a sweet deal of early release if he did. Very suspicious.

To be clear, there’s no evidence that Turscak was still working for the FBI when the Black Friday attack occurred.
That said, notice what one critic wrote: “An innocent man gets stabbed in prison by an FBI informant. What are the chances?”
Chauvin was convicted in April of 2021 of murdering Minneapolis criminal suspect George Floyd, but many critics doubt the legitimacy of the conviction. Evidence has consistently shown that Floyd was under the influence of copious amounts of deadly fentanyl in the minutes preceding his untimely death.
Critics believe Chauvin was falsely accused and convicted to appease the violent Black Lives Matter mobs that emerged after Floyd’s death in 2020.
