‘Insane’ Keith Olbermann mercilessly mocked for resorting to using pet account to post Musk hate

Notorious mouth-foaming ranter and former MSNBC commentator Keith Olbermann has always refused to be silent and, after being one of the privileged few “journalists” suspended from Twitter for allegedly doxing owner Elon Musk, he demonstrated the lengths he’d take to have his screeds heard by posting from the account “Keith Olbermann’s Dogs.”

While he has insisted to the contrary, Olbermann was among those accused earlier in the week of sharing links to an account that posted real-time location data of Musk’s private jet, thus putting the billionaire and his family at risk. Early Saturday, most of those accounts had been reinstated following an opinion poll, but the seething pundit was not among them, nor had he ever truly been silenced.

No sooner had Olbermann’s regular account been suspended, than he took to the account used to promote dog rescue and adoption and proceeded with his typical irate hyperbole. That included a video uploaded Friday where he angrily recited from a script held close at hand like an actor auditioning for a role that he hadn’t fully prepared for, “Hey, I don’t know if this got any publicity anywhere, but apparently I’ve been permanently banned from Twitter by Elon Musk for not doing something he claimed he would never ban anybody for doing.”

The post was captioned in part, “Doubt you’ve heard but Musk banned me permanently from Twitter for NOT doing something he said WASN’T against the rules!”

“It was the baptism scene from The Godfather and Elon Muskleone,” he further argued as he tried to compare the suspensions to Michael Corleone renouncing Satan while his mob enforcers assassinated his enemies.

Olbermann proceeded to draw attention to his plight and his apparent self-determined insignificance by artificially amplifying his video by retweeting it and tagging other notable accounts. But in the eyes of Twitter users, he only looked all the more “insane” and unhinged for using his dogs’ account.

Some were quick to point out that his behavior managed to outdo comedian Kathy Griffin who had tried to skirt her Twitter suspension by using the account of her deceased mother. Journalist Jim Treacher wrote, “This is almost as sad as Kathy Griffin squatting on her dead mom’s account.”

Others wondered why it was that Olbermann was being permitted to continue using an alternative account in what was so obviously a violation of Twitter’s terms of service for evading suspension.

What was beyond clear to all who witnessed the commentator’s use of an alternative account to call Musk “apartheid Clyde,” was his flagrant hypocrisy now that it was him facing the suspension.

Warning: Language

As it happened, it seemed that Musk might have been holding off on shutting down Olbermann’s alternative account for his own amusement writing, “Olbermann tweeting from his dog’s account still makes me lmao,” while others expressed their concern for the pundit’s dog.
