Iran’s exiled crown prince offers ‘transition’ message – says he’s had contact with Trump admin

Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi, exiled from Iran, has reportedly been in contact with President Donald Trump’s administration.

Operation Epic Fury has resulted in a power vacuum in Iran, which the country has sought to fill by selecting the deceased Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s son, Mojtaba Khamenei, as ruler. But Pahlavi is attempting to get his foot back in the door after being exiled from the country following his father’s removal during the Iranian Revolution in 1979. In a post published to X on Saturday, he offered his ability as a leader to help Iran get back on track “following the fall of the Islamic Republic.”

“Dear Compatriots,” he wrote. “To ensure that Iran does not suffer a disruption in the administration of the country following the fall of the Islamic Republic, two important tasks have been underway simultaneously over the past months.”

“First, the development of a clear plan for governing the country within the framework of the ‘Iran Prosperity Project,'” his post continued. “Second, the identification and selection of worthy women and men to participate in the “Transition System” and implement this plan.”

“In this process, many compatriots with valuable experiences and the expertise needed by our country have expressed their readiness to participate in the reconstruction of the nation and serve the homeland. This process has been carried out within the framework of the committee for reviewing and selecting members of the Transition System, which is managed by Dr. Saeed Ghaseminejad. Within this framework, over the recent months, capable individuals inside and outside the country have been identified and evaluated for leading various sections of the Transition System,” he added. “The Transition System, under my guidance, will be ready to take the reins of governing the country immediately upon the fall of the Islamic Republic and, in the shortest possible time, establish order, security, freedom, and the foundations for prosperity and flourishing for Iran.”

Speaking to NewsNation’s Katie Pavlich, Pahlavi gave additional information.

“Well, since it was made public, I’ve been in contact with the administration via the channel of [special envoy] Steve Witkoff,” he told the host. “And of course, I’m sure the rest of the messaging has been relayed, at least on the administration side. I’ve been also talking to members of Congress, both Senate and House, over what it is that we are doing to keep them informed and briefed.”

According to Pahlavi, the president “will be supportive of whatever the Iranian people will decide” regarding their new leadership.
