Is Biden weaponizing DOJ? Doocy relentlessly pushes KJP to answer and she won’t say. Wow.

As might be expected, the unprecedented act of state-sponsored lawlessness on display at Mar-A-Lago on Monday when 30 or so FBI agents raided the home of former President Donald Trump was a hot topic for the few journalists on hand at Tuesday’s White House press briefing.

And, as expected, outmatched White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre was not up to the task as the diversity hire had nothing to say outside her scripted talking points.

Fox News White House correspondent Peter Doocy didn’t hold back in grilling Jean-Pierre for answers on what proved to be a historic occasion, the first time in American history that a previous occupant of the White House has been targeted by the succeeding administration via the Justice Department.

“We are not going to comment from here, from this White House, on a criminal investigation that is currently happening,” was the standard dodge Biden’s spokesperson relied on to maintain distance between the president and the raid on Mar-A-Lago — Jean-Pierre insisted Tuesday that Biden “was not aware of it, no. No one at the White House was given a heads-up.”

“Does the president still want to think that he would be very fortunate to run against Trump in 2024 like he has said before?” Doocy asked.

“I’m not going to comment,” Jean-Pierre replied, before stretching any sense of credibility to add, “All I can tell you, Peter, is that the president plans to run in 2024.”

Doocy asked about the concerns Republicans and many others have about the “weaponizing” of the FBI.

“Is there a concern here that if you guys don’t say more, then these Republicans who are accusing this White House of weaponizing the Justice Department, weaponizing the FBI, that that’s gonna become the public sentiment, if you guys don’t say once and for all, ‘We are not doing this?'” he asked.

“First of all, we’re just not going to comment under the Department of Justice investigation,” the affirmative action press secretary repeated. “I’m just not going to comment on that.”

“Ok, I’ll make it easier,” the Fox News reporter pressed on. “Is this White House weaponizing the Justice Department and the FBI against political opponents?”

Jean-Pierre tried to fall back on her scripted responses instead of answering the question, but Doocy interrupted her.

“I heard the quote. We will be playing the quote tonight at six o’clock,” he said. “Is this administration weaponizing the Justice Department and the FBI against political opponents?”

“Peter, the president believes in the rule of law,” she replied. “The president believes in the independence of the Department of Justice–”

“That’s a yes or no. Is the White House–” he interrupted.

“No, it’s a yes or no for you. I’m answering the question,” Jean-Pierre shot back. “You may not like it, but I’m answering the question and I’m telling you that we are not going to comment on a criminal investigation. The president has been very clear. I laid out what his thoughts were back on January 7 in 2021 about how he saw the Department of Justice. I’m just going to leave it there. We are not going to comment from here from this White House on a criminal investigation that is currently happening.”

And there you have it, President Joe Biden is fully insulated from an act that shakes the very foundation this nation stands on and places the United States among any number of banana republics the world has seen.
