‘It doesn’t matter what you think!’ Whoopi comes unglued when confronted with dissenting opinion on abortion

The echo chamber known as ABC’s “The View” suffered a hiccup Thursday when a guest co-host, former Trump administration official turned CNN talking head Alyssa Farah Griffin, expressed a dissenting opinion.

During a discussion on the potential repeal of Roe v. Wade, she called for Americans to have the “uncomfortable conversation” about when life truly begins.

“According to Pew Research, 71 percent of Americans believe there should be some limitations on abortion. This is forcing a conversation … an uncomfortable conversation that we have to have. At what point does a baby in the womb have rights, separate from a mother?” she said.

Before she could continue with her point, co-host Whoopi Goldberg interrupted Griffin to say, “Listen, it doesn’t matter what you think, when you think it is, if I don’t think that that’s when it is,” she said.

“But is it nine months? Is it the third trimester?” Griffin quickly replied before being prematurely cut off again.

“Listen, I don’t have to tell you. It’s your decision what you do with your body and how your family works. And for me, I don’t care what your religious beliefs are,” the bullying co-host said.

“But it’s not even religion,” Griffin meekly tried to reply before Goldberg cut her off again.

“But IT IS! This is all based in religion!” the angry co-host shrieked.

Before the discussion, if that’s even what you can call it, could continue, Goldberg said that someone named “Rob” — the guy overseeing the show? — was “freaking out” and that they needed to go to a commercial break.

This is typical behavior for “The View,” a show that’s essentially a far-left echo chamber where dissenting opinions are far and few between.

Goldberg’s rude behavior toward Griffin provoked backlash on social media, some of it equally rude and demeaning:

Earlier during the same segment, co-host Joy Behar claimed Republicans are trying to take away people’s rights and then lamented that Americans don’t appear to be paying attention to this because of their focus on inflation.

“I really think Americans are not aware — because they’re worried about gas prices, understandably; they’re worried about inflation, understandably — but the larger issue is that we’re losing our rights on a regular basis, and I don’t think that Americans get it. I really don’t,” she said.

Listen:

This particular remark also provoked backlash on Twitter, given as it’s the Democrat Party that’s been trying to eliminate rights, including but not limited to the right to dissent, the right to not get vaccinated, the right to not be locked down, the right to own a gun, etc.

And incidentally, all the permanent hosts of “The View” are avid Democrats:

Critics say that Behar especially, of all people, has no room to talk about others taking away people’s rights.

Recall that back in December of 2020, she said that those Americans who refuse to mask up should be denied ICU beds in case they get sick:

And recall that roughly a year later in September of 2021, she suggested that Americans who refuse to get vaccinated should be denied any medical help because of their decision to not do as the government has demanded of them.
