‘It is Jim Crow!’ ABC’s Donna Brazile ignores huge early turnout to slam GA’s voting law

Like a pit bull with his jaw locked onto an unfortunate target, Democrats just can’t let go of the largely contrived racial oppression narrative. The latest example of this was on display Sunday from ABC News contributor and former DNC chair Donna Brazile.

In a segment on ABC’s “This Week Sunday,” former Mike Pence chief of staff Marc Short referenced President Joe Biden calling Georgia’s new voting law “Jim Crow in the 21st Century,” to point out that voter turnout this year is well ahead of the 2018 midterms, which is before the law was passed.

“You have record numbers of people voting early in Georgia,” Short said. “Record numbers of African Americans voting early. Yet the Democrats are saying it’s Jim Crow 2.0?”

Just as we see the left ignore science when it contradicts their talking points or they can’t manipulate it to support their message, Brazile looked past what the statistics show to double down on a half-century old Democrstic tactic.

“It is!” she insisted. “It is. Unfortunately it is Jim Crow!”

“SB 202, as you well know, allows anyone to challenge the validity of a voter,” Brazile replied, when Short asked her to explain how. “There are many African Americans and others, young people especially, who are going out to vote and they are being challenged.”

Of course, Brazile is cherry picking from liberal media sources, such as the The Guardian.

Despite noting that Georgia voters “turned out in record numbers for the first week of early voting,” the British newspaper blamed right-wingers for a small number of voters — statistically speaking — facing hiccups at the polls.

“Under the state’s new Election Integrity Act, Georgia citizens can challenge a voter’s eligibility on the state’s voting rolls an unlimited number of times,” The Guardian reported. “Right-wing groups, spurred by baseless claims that the 2020 election was rife with voter fraud, have mounted thousands of organized challenges across the state, putting even more pressure on the election process for voters, poll workers and election officials.”

Social media users appear to be onto the ruse… here’s a quick sampling of responses to the story from Twitter:
