Another day, another Democrat trying to pan President Donald Trump’s policies and actions as a “distraction” from an imaginary evil.
The dramatic capture of Venezuelan dictator Nicolas Maduro set off another wave of whining from Democrats who insist Trump is trying to distract from the economy, the Epstein files, and the alleged “insurrection” of January 6, 2021.
U.S. Rep. Marilyn Strickland latched onto the latest narrative in an appearance on MS NOW as she pointed to the “coincidence” of Maduro’s capture with the upcoming anniversary of the Capitol riot, something that Democrats never let go of, and Congress plans to resurrect again as it reconvenes.
Democrats “have a lot of big issues that the American people care about,” the Washington lawmaker pointed out, highlighting the events of January 6.

“I think it was mentioned by one of your earlier speakers that Donald Trump is transactional; what he wants is access to those oil reserves,” claimed Strickland, a member of the Armed Services Committee.
“At the same time, this is also a big distraction. Look at the timing of this. We go back in session on Tuesday. We are going to talk about the Affordable Care Act premiums. We’re going to talk about January 6, the Epstein files, the economy, all those things that are so important to the American people, and, what a coincidence, this happens,” she continued.
Strickland claimed it “also is not a surprise of the timing. ”
“We’re going back to Congress next week, we have a lot of big issues that the American people care about, their healthcare, the economy, the Epstein files, and we’ll be talking about January 6, which is kind of ironic here, because… Maduro, he actually did steal two elections. And Donald Trump tried to do that on January 6, but he failed,” she claimed.
Evidently, the current Democrat narrative is to assert that Trump’s actions are an attempt to “distract” from everything. Democrat strategist James Carville contended that the latest happenings in Venezuela are just Trump trying to divert attention from the Epstein files.
Guys, James Carville is having another total meltdown after the Trump administration captured Nicolas Maduro.
