‘It’s killin me!’ Trump gets tongues wagging when he teases a ‘little secret’ giving GOP an edge

At his packed rally in New York’s Madison Square Garden over the weekend, former President Donald Trump told the crowd he had a “little secret” about the House of Representatives.

The Republican presidential nominee gave the teaser as he spoke about getting Republicans elected to the Senate and the House where the GOP holds a slim majority.

“We have so many [great congressman]… if I ever named them we’re gonna be up here a long time,” he said.

“And they’re gonna be angry, they won’t speak to me for probably a month or so but it’ll calm down after that, right Matt Gaetz?” he continued, referring to the GOP congressman from Florida. “It’ll calm down. It’ll calm down. But we have great, great people. And they’re really doing a job and we’re gonna turn this country around.”

“You know, with me, we’ve gotta get the congressmen elected and we’ve gotta get the senators elected because we can take the Senate pretty easily and I think without the little secret we’re gonna do really well with the House right?” Trump said.

“Our little secret is having a big impact. He and I have a secret. We’ll tell you what it is when the race is over,” he added.

There was some confusion online about whether the GOP nominee was addressing Gaetz in the comment about the secret or he was referring to Louisiana Republican House Speaker Mike Johnson.

Democrats and the left seized on the comment to again accuse Trump of nefarious plans to overturn democracy.

“I think the secret yesterday that he [Donald Trump] referenced very likely may relate to his compact with Mike Johnson to—as a back-up plan for when he loses—to overturn this election on January 6,” Rep. Daniel Goldman (D-NY) told CNN.

Politico declared without evidence that Trump’s “sinister comments … could be a reference to the House settling a contested election.”

Most X users just wanted to know what the “secret” was all about.
