Buzz around Bedminster has led many to believe that former President Donald Trump’s daughter and son-in-law are not far from the campaign trail.
“They’ve been spotted more frequently this summer.”
Last November, Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner were notably absent from the former president’s announcement that he was launching another bid for his second term in office. Now, repeated sightings of the power couple in close proximity to the one-time commander-in-chief have spurred suggestions of a reentry into politics.
Late last month, Vanity Fair spoke with sources with regard to Ivanka’s appearance at her father’s June birthday dinner and the pair’s attendance at a special screening of the film “Sound of Freedom” at Trump’s Bedminster, New Jersey golf club.
“They’ve been spotted more frequently this summer. They’ve made it clear they’re supportive. They pop into meetings to say hi,” a campaign strategist told Gabriel Sherman.
Likewise, as the magazine reported, “The couple has publicly steered clear of politics, but some recent sightings have Trumpworld buzzing,” a former administration official said about Kushner’s potential involvement, “If [Trump’s] president again, Jared needs to protect his turf.”
The Daily Mail pointed to the couple’s appearance at the recent LIV Golf tournament, the Saudi-funded alternative to the PGA, as Vanity Fair had reminded that after the Trump administration ended, Kushner’s Affinity Partners private-equity firm had acquired a $2 billion investment tied to Saudi crown prince Mohammed bin Salman.
Having reached out to sources reportedly close to the couple, the Mail was informed that, despite suggestions to the contrary, their appearance was nothing more than familial.
“Jared and Ivanka are not looking to be in politics and they enjoy spending their summers in Bedminster with Ivanka’s father and their kids as they always have,” it was explained. “They continue to maintain a close personal relationship.”
That had played out earlier this year when she had shared photos of her father holding a special celebration to mark the birthday of his granddaughter Arabella ahead of her Bat Mitzvah.

As had been reported in December, after the president’s daughter had said, “I love my father very much. This time around, I am choosing to prioritize my young children and the private life we are creating as a family. I do not plan to be involved in politics,” Trump released his own statement on her plan to stay “outside the political arena.”
“Contrary to Fake News reporting,” he had written on Truth Social. “I never asked Jared or Ivanka to be part of the 2024 Campaign for President and, in fact, specifically asked them not to do it — too mean and nasty with the Fake & Corrupt News and having to deal with some absolutely horrendous SleazeBags in the world of politics, and beyond. There has never been anything like this ‘ride’ before, and they should not be further subject to it. I ran twice, getting millions more Votes the second time (RIGGED), & am doing it again!”
