CNN’s Jake Tapper, to his credit, has called out Vice President Kamala Harris for answering zero questions during Tuesday’s debate.
While analyzing the debate late Wednesday, Tapper noted right off the bat that Harris “began the debate by punting the first question on the economy.”
He was right. When asked whether Americans are better off economically today than they were under former President Donald Trump, she went off on a wild tangent about her past.
“So I was raised as a middle-class kid and I am actually the only person on the stage who has a plan that is about lifting up the middle class and working people of America,” she said.
Tapper wasn’t impressed.
Listen to his response below:

“Despite the economy being the number one issue facing the country, the sitting vice president generally reverted to talking points about a few of her policy proposals,” he said. “Even Harris allies today are saying that she needs to talk more about what she will do for Americans if elected.”
Tapper then proceeded to note that Harris had also “dodged” a question about the border crisis.
Again, he was right. When asked why the Biden-Harris administration waited until the last minute to impose new asylum restrictions, she again babbled about her past.
“So I’m the only person on this stage who has prosecuted transnational criminal organizations for the trafficking of guns, drugs, and human beings,” she said.
Again, Tapper wasn’t impressed.
“OK, that wasn’t the question,” he said of her non-answer answer.
The CNN host wasn’t done. He then played a clip of Harris answering a question about how she’d break the Israel-Hamas stalemate.
“We need a ceasefire deal and we need the hostages out,” the vice president said. “And so we will continue to work around the clock on that.”
Like before, Tapper was unimpressed.
“OK, but again, HOW!?” he asked incredulously.
He went on to then criticize Trump for some of his own non-answer answers. Of course, the gigantic difference is that the debate moderators, propagandists David Muir and Linsey Davis, called Trump out to his face, they said NOTHING about Harris’ non-answer answers.
Likewise, whereas the two called out Trump’s ostensible lies (some of which WEREN’T LIES), they never once — not once — called out Harris over her blatant, glaring lies.
As a result, Muir and Davis are facing steep backlash on social media.
Look:
Your despicable, partisan behavior at the “debate” will not be forgotten. Your questions were partisan and you never fact checked Kamala’s lies. Disgusting.

You just helped spread the evil lie Trump didn’t shame the Nazis, a lie Kamala told that was not fact checked by the insurrectionists on the panel. Prison is your future, or America is no more, Prog scum.

You and your sidekick on that debate should be ashamed of yourselves. Neither one of you had a moment to factcheck all of Kamala’s lies? You think the public is stupid. You let her ramble on with several lies then Trump has to waste his time defending those lies. Disgusting Dave

You’re a fake journalist. On Tuesday night, your concerned looks couldn’t hide how you were completely biased &never took Kamala’s lies, obfuscations, &lies of omission to task. You weren’t a moderator. You & @LinseyDavis davis should’ve been standing at the podium w/kamala.

More lies from Kamala & @abcnews . @DavidMuir is just a disgusting low life opinion guy. He’s never been a journalist. And @LinseyDavis is a part time hack and nothing more. They both lied to the American people and they were so biased it was appalling. Time for a civil suit https://t.co/Udkus0Mz5C

The crazy thing is that despite Muir and Davis clearly doing such a poor, partisan job as debate moderators, the rest of the corporate propaganda press has been circling wagons around them, boasting of how they were “well-prepared” and did a fine job.
Case in point via the Washington Post’s top propagandist, Glenn Kessler:
Muir and Davis were well-prepared and might have provided a model for how moderators handle debates in the future.
