Vice President JD Vance and Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-NY) are duking it out on social media over claims that one is inciting violence against federal agents.
The rhetoric against Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents has been ramping up over the last few weeks, and it appears that the frenzy has now reached Congress. It started when Nadler made some interesting comments equating immigration enforcement actions to “attacks … by masked hoodlums” and implying Americans who shot federal agents might be justified.
Watch:
Here is crazed lunatic @RepJerryNadler likening immigration enforcement to “attacks… by masked hoodlums”:
“If you were attacked by a masked person, you might think you were being kidnapped. You’d be justified in shooting the person.”

“What is really the major problem in this country today is the fascism in our streets. The attacks on American citizens by masked hoodlums,” he said. “If you were attacked by a masked person, you might think you were being kidnapped. You’d be justified in shooting the person.”
“To protect yourself,” he added after a beat.
Vance took notice of these comments and interpreted them as Nadler encouraging gun violence against federal agents for doing their jobs.
Jerry Nadler is one of the highest ranking Democrats in the House of Representatives and he is openly calling for people to shoot federal law enforcement.
This is despicable behavior from an elected official and I’m sure the leftwing media will cover it extensively. https://t.co/hmbV43h43H

“Jerry Nadler is one of the highest-ranking Democrats in the House of Representatives and he is openly calling for people to shoot federal law enforcement,” the vice president posted on X. “This is despicable behavior from an elected official and I’m sure the leftwing media will cover it extensively.”
Nadler quickly hopped on the platform to reply, stating that he meant something entirely different with his statement.
This is BS. I’m not calling on citizens to shoot ICE. I’m calling on ICE to stop shooting citizens.
ICE is a rogue agency hellbent on terrorizing our neighbors and instilling fear in immigrant communities.
They should stop wearing masks, put on a uniform, and start wearing… https://t.co/Sb0yIY3JDp

Get a judicial warrant, too,” the congressman wrote.
But this didn’t fly with X users:

Yes you did….. the body cam thing is happening which will be a good thing and show how much these agents have to deal with at the moment

Then why didn’t you say exactly that?
