JD Vance drops the gloves on El-Sayed: There’s something ‘very, very evil’ about him

Vice President JD Vance tore into “evil” Michigan Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed during a campaign rally Monday in Sterling Heights.

“I realize that there’s something about Abdul El-Sayed that is very, very evil and on the rise in the United States of America today,” he bluntly said.

“And it’s people who see themselves not as citizens of a common nation fighting for every single person — whether they’re Jewish or Christian, whether they’re white or black or brown — but see themselves as fighting for one group at the expense of others. And that is how, ladies and gentlemen, you destroy the United States of America,” he added.

The fierce attack came in response to El-Sayed habitually hobnobbing and empathizing with genuinely evil people.

For example, he previously campaigned alongside Hasan Piker, a hatemonger who’s said that he hates America and that the United States “deserved” the deadly Sept. 11 terror attacks.

In addition, after a violent attack on a Jewish synagogue and school, El-Sayed expressed empathy for the attacker, saying in a video posted to social media that “hurt people hurt people.”

Continuing his remarks on Monday, the vice president brought up El-Sayed’s association with Piker.

“When I see Abdul El-Sayed campaign around the state with somebody who said that America deserved 9/11, what I see is a man who has sympathy and compassion for people who share his religion but have nothing for people who don’t,” he said.

“[I see] a person who will apologize for a murderer so long as he looks the right way but will not understand the plight of an innocent child if that person has their own faith. And that is the root of this terrible evil, I believe, in the United States of America that is on the rise,” he added.

Vance also came after El-Sayed for talking about his wife.

“Now, the last thing I’ll say about Abdul — Mr. El-Sayed — is he has a weird habit of talking about my family,” the vice president noted. “Have you noticed this? You know, look, I don’t know who his wife is. I’m sure she’s a lovely person. But I would never come to this state and disrespect you, or disrespect somebody’s family, by talking about another person’s wife — a person who isn’t on the ballot.”

“And yet, Abdul El-Sayed, every time they put a microphone in front of his face, he wants to talk about my wife or my grandfather. You know, my message to Abdul El-Sayed … is you can pal around with terrorist sympathizers, and you can say that America deserves 9/11, or you can empathize not with the children who were targeted at Temple Israel, but with the attacker. These are all despicable things, but they’re all things that the people of Michigan will judge you on based on your record,” he added.

He concluded by telling El-Sayed to “keep my wife’s name the hell out of your mouth, because she’s way out of your league.”

El-Sayed fired back during a CNN interview later that evening with his typical class warfare rhetoric.

“Well, let me tell you what’s evil,” he said. “Evil is the idea of starting wars when there’s peace. Evil is the idea of stripping away people’s healthcare when they absolutely have no other option. What’s evil is to do that, so that you can pass a tax cut for billionaires.”

“What’s evil is putting a data center that people don’t want in their backyard, to spite them. What’s evil is corrupting yourself because you want a little bit more power,” he added.
