JD Vance to sit down with Joe Rogan as Kamala negotiates her way out

With Democratic nominee Kamala Harris doing her best to work her way out of an interview with Joe Rogan, host of the top-rated podcast in America, former President Donald Trump’s vice presidential nominee J.D. Vance knows better than to look a gift horse in the mouth.

Sen. Vance has agreed to appear on the “The Joe Rogan Experience” podcast on Wednesday in Rogan’s Austin, Texas, studio.

That matters because Rogan let it be known in a post on X that while the possibility of Harris doing the podcast is still alive, Team Kamalot is making it difficult by trying to dictate the terms — which would effectively dilute the entire Rogan “experience,” which is a free-flowing, unscripted conversation with few time restraints.

“Also, for the record the Harris campaign has not passed on doing the podcast. They offered a date for Tuesday, but I would have had to travel to her and they only wanted to do an hour,” Rogan explained.

“I strongly feel the best way to do it is in the studio in Austin,” he continued. “My sincere wish is to just have a nice conversation and get to know her as a human being. I really hope we can make it happen.”

The remarkable thing is that Kamala is not beating down Rogan’s door given that Trump’s sit-down last week has been viewed nearly 40 million times on YouTube and another 14.5 million times on X.

Then again, given that the consensus thought is that a 3-hour unrestricted conversation with Rogan would surely sink Kamala’s presidential bid, perhaps the Democratic nominee’s handlers have no choice but to negotiate their way out of a sit-down by offering terms they’re confident will not be accepted.

Trump predicted that President Biden’s replacement would want nothing to do with Rogan.

“Can you imagine Kamala doing this show?” he asked the podcast host during his interview last week.

“I could imagine her doing this show,” Rogan responded. “She was supposed to do it, she might still do it and I hope she does.”

“She’s not gonna do it,” Trump countered.

Trump also asked Rogan if he liked his pick for Veep and he replied. “I like him a lot.”

“You are allowed to say that,” the Republican nominee joked.

“No, I do. I like him a lot. He is a brilliant guy — his ability to talk like a normal human being,” Rogan said.

The expectations are high among social media users that a Rogan-Vance chat will be another “epic” event… here’s a quick sampling of responses to the story, as seen on X:
