JD Vance’s latest Epstein remarks cause new surge for Trump to release files

Vice President JD Vance triggered the left as he attacked Democrats and their sudden interest in releasing the files related to the Jeffrey Epstein case.

The vice president spoke on Fox News’s “Sunday Morning Futures” with Maria Bartiromo about the lack of any meaningful action during the Biden administration, calling out Democrats who are now clamoring for the release of the so-called Epstein files.

Interestingly, Vance’s remarks sparked a renewed call for President Donald Trump’s Justice Department and the FBI to immediately release the material.

“We know that Jeffrey Epstein had a lot of connections with left-wing politicians and left-wing billionaires. … Democrat billionaires and Democrat political leaders went to Epstein’s island all the time. Who knows what they did,” Vance told host Maria Bartiromo.

“I laugh at the Democrats who are now, all of a sudden, so interested in the Epstein files. For four years, Joe Biden and the Democrats did absolutely nothing about this story,” he continued.

“Now President Trump has demanded full transparency from this, and yet, somehow, the Democrats are attacking him and not the Biden administration,” Vance said on Sunday.

Last month, the DOJ and FBI effectively closed the case, saying there was no rumored client list and that the convicted child sex offender did, in fact, kill himself in his Manhattan jail cell in 2019.

“Fine. Release all the files. With victims and survivors’ names and PII redacted. But no redactions of clients, enablers, and see-no-evil associates,” raging anti-Trumper Bill Kristol wrote on X in response to Vance’s comments.

“All the more reason to release it,” CNN’s Andrew Kaczynski wrote on X.

Former Obama speechwriter and co-host of Pod Save America, Jon Favreau, claimed in a post that Trump’s “name is in the Epstein files and @JDVance has been plotting with the AG and FBI Director to cover it up.”

“Release the names! Democrats, Republicans, billionaires, or not,” he added. “What are you afraid of, @JDVance?”

Last month, a House Oversight subcommittee voted to subpoena the DOJ to turn over all Epstein materials. House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chair James Comer (R-KY) followed through last week, issuing subpoenas to the DOJ as well as former government officials, including former President Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton as well as former FBI Director James Comey, former Attorney General Loretta Lynch, former Attorney General Eric Holder, among others.

“The president has been very clear. We’re not shielding anything,” Vance said last month.

Social media users were not so sure.
