Former Biden White House press secretary Jen Psaki has circled back to television, proudly displaying her NBCUniversal badge in a tweet Monday touting her first day on the job.
“First day. New job. Thrilled and honored to be here with this remarkable team. See you soon on TV,” Psaki tweeted.

While there was some speculation that Psaki may “lessen the blow of Rachel Maddow’s departure from MSNBC’s 9 p.m. spot,” as Politico characterized the talk, NBC will instead offer President Biden’s former spokesperson “significant airtime during major political events, and a hosting job for an MSNBC streaming show set to debut in the first quarter of 2023,” the political news outlet reported.
In addition to being a full-time contributor on MSNBC, Psaki is expected to join Alex Wagner, who did replace Maddow, this week and will reportedly be worked into appearances on NBC’s “Meet The Press” and other similar programs. She will also host an MSNBC streaming show set to debut in the first quarter of 2023.
“First of all, my business is not rage,” Psaki said last week of her new gig. “What I hope to do is bring that passion for explaining things, debunking things, calling out BS when you see it to my next job.”
Psaki joins another ex-Biden White House official taking a job at NBC this year, Symone Sanders, former press secretary for Vice President Kamala Harris.
“Brian Stelter goes right from CNN to Harvard. Jen Psaki goes from the White House to NBC. Karine Jean Pierre goes from NBC to the White House. The Academia-Media-Government human centipede crawls along,” Matt Walsh tweeted.
For many on social media, they see little difference between Psaki’s old job and her new one… here’s a quick sampling of responses to the story from Twitter:
So you still work for Government propaganda. Got it.

It’s not a new job. It’s a continuation of the job you had in the White House. https://t.co/JY48AfFT1e
