Jersey governor plans stockpile ahead of Trump’s return to White House

New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy is proving where his priorities lie with what he’s choosing to stockpile ahead of the incoming president’s inauguration.

The left’s ability to pearl clutch over boogeymen they’ve created is unmatched, and Murphy demonstrated that once again on Tuesday with his comments about abortion pills.

During his State of the State address, the governor vowed to protect access to abortion-inducing medications like mifepristone while also stating that he would attempt to work with President-elect Donald Trump on issues of shared interest. However, he also promised to push back on the incoming administration on issues where they differed, such as the pro-choice agenda.

“I will never back away from partnering with the Trump Administration where our priorities align. But just as importantly, I will never back down from defending our New Jersey values — if and when they are tested,” he said, apparently implying abortion is a New Jersey value.

The state will stockpile the medications “so every woman can access this crucial form of reproductive care,” and New Jersey is the latest state to do so even though Trump has not discussed any plan to restrict abortion or access to abortion-inducing medications federally.

Further suggesting the left’s attitude is much ado about nothing, the Supreme Court ruled in June to preserve access to mifepristone.
