‘Jewish patients beware’: NY doctor fired over sick anti-Israel posts, and she’s not alone

A New York doctor became the latest to face firing over hateful pro-Hamas sentiments and she wasn’t alone for allegedly cheering anti-Semitic slaughter.

“Jewish patients beware.”

Since the terrorist attacks against Israel that resulted in the death of more than 1,400 men, women and children with scores taken hostage by jihadists, college students, a former porn star and politicians have all felt the brunt of positioning themselves beside Hamas in the name of a “Free Palestine.” Added to that mix Tuesday was an emergency room physician from New York City’s Lenox Hill Hospital.

Dr. Dana Diab of the Northwell Health operated facility was said to have taken to her Instagram where she captioned images of those fleeing the slaughter of Supernova Festival-goers on October 7 with the message, “Zionist settlers getting a taste of their own medicine.”

The non-partisan organization StopAntisemitism shared screengrabs of the physician’s social media Monday that bore other anti-Israel posts and wrote, “[Dana] Diab took to Instagram rejoicing Zionist settlers [aka Jews] were murdered, raped, beheaded, and kidnapped by the Hamas terror group as Saturday October 7th. Jewish patients beware.”

On Tuesday an update indicated, “Per @NorthwellHealth, owner of Lenox Hill Hospital in NYC, Dr. [Dana] Diab is no longer an employee.”

As it happened, Diab wasn’t the only doctor that StopAntisemitism had highlighted allegedly spouting pro-Hamas rhetoric as they also zeroed in on a physician in Georgia. There, Dr. Abeer N. AbouYabis of the Emory Winship Cancer Institute was placed on leave as she was investigated over a post that read, “I needed to say it LOUD, So I joined those brave, well organized, passionate students from different Atlanta colleges near the israeli embassy. Thanks to Emory students for Justice in Palestine and all the other student bodies who helped me hang onto the last thread of my faith in humanity and hope for justice… one day One day!”

“They got walls we got gliders…Glory to all resistance fighters…Palestine is our demand…No peace on stolen land…Not another nickel not another dollar…We will pay For israel slaughter…Not another nickel not another dime….We will pay for israel crimes,” her message continued.

While not yet let go, it was reported that an investigation was underway as she was placed on leave by the cancer institute.

In response to Diab’s posts, Northwell Health had taken to X to apologize for their former employee’s callous post and contended after first being alerted to the content Monday, “We are deeply sorry for the hurt and offense these comments have caused. These views do not represent Lenox Hill Hospital and Northwell Health and go against our core values. The team member is no longer employed with Northwell.”

Though some like members of the Squad in the U.S. House of Representatives have yet to face real consequences for their anti-Israel positions, Harvard University has taken substantial heat after more than 30 student organizations hadn’t been condemned for issuing a letter blaming Israel for the terror attack on their people.

In the aftermath, blacklists had been called for against members of those organizations and Israeli billionaire Idan Ofer and his wife resigned from the executive board of Harvard’s Kennedy School in protest.

Reaction to the termination of the doctor led many to call for continued expulsions of pro-Hamas individuals where applicable.
