Joe Rogan says ‘people feel betrayed’ over Trump’s ‘insane’ Iran war

Joe Rogan blasted President Donald J. Trump over the “insane” war in Iran, suggesting that people who voted for him believing that he wouldn’t start any new foreign conflicts are feeling “betrayed” over the conflict that he has gambled his presidency on.

With Operation Epic Fury now in week two with no end in sight and an even more radical ayatollah in place at the top of the Islamic Republic, the podcasting king weighed in on the latest Middle East war, which he is obviously not a fan of.

“Well, it just seems so insane, based on what he ran on. I mean, this is why a lot of people feel betrayed, right?” Rogan told journalist Michael Schellenberger on the latest edition of “The Joe Rogan Experience” podcast.

“He ran on, ‘No more wars,’ ‘End these stupid, senseless wars,’ and then we have one that we can’t even really clearly define why we did it,” he added.

“No endless wars,” Schellenberger said, to which the host replied, “They’re all endless.”

Rogan also worried that the conflict could spiral into a third world war.

“The whole situation internationally has been so tense already with what’s going on in Gaza, what’s going on in Ukraine…add this to the pile, it’s like it genuinely feels like there’s a real possibility that we might be entering World War III,” he said.

Since the joint U.S.-Israel attack began, there have been numerous examples of Trump’s past statements against foreign wars that have resurfaced on X, and even though Congress rejected a Democrat-backed effort to limit his war powers, there is growing unease about the potential for another prolonged conflict.

Polls show that “MAGA Republicans” overwhelmingly back Trump’s war, but that isn’t likely going to be the case with the general public, which has yet to feel the impact of skyrocketing gas prices if it drags on, and fickle GOP lawmakers will be quick to throw the president under the bus if the polling nosedives.

According to reports, Iran has begun mining the Strait of Hormuz, a vital chokepoint for a fifth of the world’s crude oil supply.

On Tuesday, Trump warned Iran of severe consequences if it mines the waterway.

“If Iran does anything that stops the flow of Oil within the Strait of Hormuz, they will be hit by the United States of America TWENTY TIMES HARDER than they have been hit thus far. Additionally, we will take out easily destroyable targets that will make it virtually impossible for Iran to ever be built back, as a Nation, again — Death, Fire, and Fury will reign upon them — But I hope, and pray, that it does not happen!” Trump wrote on Truth Social.
