Joe Rogan unloads on CNN, MSNBC for ‘lying’ about ivermectin: ‘They lost a f***load of credibility’

Podcast host Joe Rogan revisited corporate media’s coverage of how he battled COVID and reminded the public of the lengths taken “to just out and out lie to people.”

“They lost a f*ckload of credibility from it.”

Thursday, the MMA commentator hosted actor and fellow unfiltered podcaster Russell Brand on “The Joe Rogan Experience” for a wide-ranging interview that addressed censorship a great deal. Part of that conversation looked back at Rogan’s own time contracting COVID in 2021 and the media circus that ensued after he admitted to beating the virus in a few days in no small part thanks to taking ivermectin.

“When you had CNN and MSNBC and all these different cable news network shows, calling it horse dewormer when it was a drug that won the Nobel Prize for the inventor of it; it’s a drug that has had billions, literally billions of prescriptions filled; it’s a drug that saved lives; a drug that’s on the World Health Organization’s list of essential medicines, and for them to have the gall, and to have the sheer audacity to just out and out lie to people about what a medication is — and it’s used on humans far more than it’s used on horses,” he pointed out.

Rogan then leveled, “They were calling that horse dewormer to try to mock me because they knew that I was unvaccinated and I kicked COVID very quickly and they did not want that narrative out there and they were beholden…to the people that give them exorbitant amounts of money in advertising revenue.”

“And they f*cking followed in line, and they all piled on and they lost a f*ckload of credibility from it,” the host contended. “And if you look at the way people who saw that, how many people saw that, and went, ‘Oh, my God, they’re just lying. They’re just lying.’ Like it, there’s no excuse for that. You can’t imagine a scenario where they really thought I was taking horse medication.”

As he recalled, “they changed my filter and turned me yellow on television. Like they took the original video of me and ran through a filter to make me look horrible. It’s really, they did some wild sh*t. But that wild sh*t that they did cost them their credibility, I just don’t think they understood the landscape when they were doing that.”

In September 2021, Rogan had explained after “fevers and sweats” that he went and got tested and in response to a confirmed case of COVID, “we immediately threw the kitchen sink at it. All kinds of meds. Monoclonal antibodies, ivermectin, Z-Pak, Prednisone, everything…I really only had one bad day.”

Networks like CNN reported that Rogan had been “promoting kind of a crazy jumble of, you know, sort of folk remedies and internet-prescribed drugs,” and contemplated suing them for smearing his reputation.

As he noted at the time, while Big Pharma was profiting off of the distribution of emergency use authorized experimental shots marketed as COVID vaccines, that authorization would have been removed if there had been a treatment known to be viable.

The following day, Brand appeared on “Real Time with Bill Maher” and further pointed out the “ludicrous, outrageous criticisms of Joe Rogan around ivermectin, who were deliberately referring to it as a horse medicine when they knew it was an effective medicine,” after calling out corporate media as little more “than mouthpieces for their affiliate owners in BlackRock and Vanguard.”
