Joe Scarborough reportedly ‘begged’ Roger Ailes to hire him at Fox News

Newsmax anchor Greta Van Susteren spilled some tea about MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough that he probably wishes she kept to herself.

It all started when an X account shared a selfie of left-wing activist David Hogg, billionaire Mark Cuban and Scarborough asking what the three men have “in common.” Van Susteren cheekily noted some commonalities and then revealed that “one” of the men did not treat her very well when she worked with him.

Look:

“Well….2 have glasses…all 3 have noses…and one said positively terrible things about me when I worked with him,” she wrote.

This quickly raised some questions, as Van Susteren is probably one of the most low-key television personalities ever.

“What the heck have you ever done to offend anyone? Not justified, I am sure,” one X user asked.

Without hesitation, she replied to the inquiry and revealed what might be the root of Scarborough’s dislike of Fox News.

“Well for starters….’back in the day’ he used to visit Roger Ailes at Fox, per Roger, and beg to come to Fox and Roger would not give him a job..maybe he blames me for that? He sure said horrible things behind my back that were reported to me…maybe he just not a very nice fella? I like his wife.” Van Susteren said, referring to Morning Joe co-host Mika Brzezinski.

Adam Housley, who worked for Fox News for about 17 years, even backed up her story, saying it was pretty “well known” at the network.

Podcaster Megyn Kelly, who was a prominent face at Fox for many years, also confirmed the rumor in a reply to Housley.
