Nathan’s hot dog eating champ body-slams attacker with chokehold WHILE winning contest

Joey Chestnut is the man when it comes to putting away hotdogs, but who knew that he could win the Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest for a record 15th time WHILE taking down a protester.

The annual Fourth of July competition was underway at Coney Island when an animal rights protester suddenly appeared on the stage with a sign that read “Expose Smithfield’s Deathstar” — which appears to be a reference to Smithfield Foods, a pork producer and food-processing company.

The protestor made what turned out to be a bad decision to elbow Chestnut out of the way to showcase his sign and the man some call the “world’s greatest athlete” for his impressive run as the hotdog-eating champion grabbed the guy in a chokehold as he choked down hotdogs, before body-slamming him to the ground.

And without missing a beat, he then resumed the task at hand, which was to devour 63 hot dogs in 10 minutes, according to the New York Post.

The number fell well short of the record 76 hotdogs Chestnut put away last year but was still 20 better than second-place finisher Geoffrey Esper.

And even more impressive, the champ tossed the protester around like a rag doll with a tendon injury, as he showed up to his official weigh-in on crutches and wearing a medical boot.

Overall, there were three animal rights protestors disrupting events while wearing Darth Vader masks and holding up signs. One of the zealots can be seen below being taken into custody and all three are seen together as two of them proudly display what appears to be police documents:

PETA has targeted Smithfield Foods for “cruelty” to pigs AND humans.

“Smithfield Foods, based in Smithfield, Virginia, kills almost 30 million pigs every year—more than any other company in the world. The way that Smithfield treats pigs, from birth to slaughter, could result in felony cruelty-to-animals charges if pigs were covered by the same laws that are designed to protect dogs and cats from abuse,” the animal rights group said in a statement.

But the interlopers did not detract from the celebration of Chestnut for his impressive talents, as seen here:
