Johns Hopkins Center for Prevention of Child Sexual Abuse makes a disturbing new hire

A child sexual abuse prevention center has hired a disgraced professor who resigned last November after video footage of the professor sticking up for pedophiles went viral across social media.

In a tweet posted Thursday afternoon, the Moore Center for Prevention of Child Sexual Abuse, which is a part of the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, announced that it’s hired someone named Allyn Walker.

“We are excited to share that Allyn Walker, PhD, will be joining the Moore Center as a postdoctoral fellow on May 25,” the announcement tweet reads.

The tweet provoked immediate outcry because of Walker’s record.

Recall that in November, a video emerged of a then-Old Dominion University assistant professor encouraging people to refer to pedophiles as “minor-attracted persons” (MAPs) because “it’s less stigmatizing than other terms like pedophile.”

“I think it’s important to use terminology for groups that members of that group want others to use for them. And MAP advocacy groups like Before You Act have advocated for use of the term MAP. They’ve advocated for it primarily because it’s less stigmatizing than other terms like pedophile. A lot of people, when they hear the term ‘pedophile,’ they automatically assume that it means a sex offender, and that isn’t true,” the professor said in the video.

“And it leads to a lot of misconceptions about attractions toward minors. I’ve definitely heard the idea that … the use of the term ‘minor-attracted person’ suggests that it’s okay to be attracted to children, but using a term that communicates who someone is attracted to doesn’t indicate anything about the morality of that attraction.”

That professor was Allyn Walker, i.e., evidently the same Allyn Walker just hired by the Moore Center for Prevention of Child Sexual Abuse. Walker is reportedly a biological female who identifies as “non-binary.”

Watch:

Walker also reportedly has a history of encouraging society to allow pedophiles to view child pornography.

In Walker’s Ph.D. thesis, the argument was made that pedophiles should be allowed to watch child porn because it’s “a harm reduction technique” and a “form of therapy” that’ll help them abstain from abusing children.

“Among some groups of predisposed individuals, easy access to a wide variety of engrossing and high-quality child pornography could serve as a substitute for involvement with actual victims,” Walker reportedly wrote.

Shortly after all this went viral on social media, triggering massive backlash, Old Dominion University and Walker released a joint statement announcing that Walker would be stepping down as assistant professor of sociology and criminal justice, and would remain on leave until May of this year.

In the statement, Walker blamed the backlash on transphobia.

“My scholarship aims to prevent child sexual abuse. That research was mischaracterized by some in the media and online, partly on the basis of my trans identity. As a result, multiple threats were made against me and the campus community generally,” Walker said.

“I want to thank Old Dominion University for giving me the opportunity to teach and to conduct my research, and the ODU Department of Public Safety for monitoring the threats against me and the community.”

The statement alone provoked backlash, with critics saying their anger had nothing to do with Walker’s transgenderism.

Look:

Months later, the backlash is now being directed at the Moore Center for Prevention of Child Sexual Abuse for hiring someone who’s defended pedophiles and argued that they should be allowed to view child pornography.

But conversely, the center’s hiring decision is also attracting praise, albeit from all the wrong people, including real-life pedophiles and establishment media “journalists.”

However, those happy with the center’s decision represent a tiny minority in contrast to the legions of enraged critics who feel nothing but disgust over Walker being hired.
