Josh Hawley sets off firestorm, calls for Ukraine funding to be ‘redirected to Israel’

Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO) set off a firestorm of criticism Monday when he dared to call for all U.S. funding for Ukraine to be “redirected to Israel immediately.”

Israel was attacked by Hamas over the weekend with Palestinian terrorists savagely raping and killing civilians, sparing no one from the carnage, including children and the elderly. The death toll approaches 1,000 and is expected to continue to climb.

“Israel is facing [an] existential threat. Any funding for Ukraine should be redirected to Israel immediately,” Hawley tweeted.

There is a concerted campaign underway attempting to tie Russia to the attack on Israel by Islamic terrorists — an effort that starts with Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskiy, who claimed in an address that he has “data very clearly proving that Russia is interested in inciting war in the Middle East.”

The same forces who attack anyone who questions Ukraine funding as pro-Putin or pro-Russia quickly came for Sen. Hawley as well:

While many people insist that America is a superpower and can fund both Israel and Ukraine, others understand that the U.S. is drowning in debt to the tune of $33 trillion and has a wide open border where thousands of single military-age males cross regularly at a time when Islamic terrorism is surging.

The latter camp makes a good case for suggesting that the funding should be redirected back home:
