A leftwing journalist stepped on a rake with an embarrassing show of hypocrisy on social media where he targeted Elon Musk’s “commando” DOGE staff.
The Washington Post’s former media reporter, Paul Farhi, was dragged on X after he announced his issue with the ages of workers helping Musk uncover government fraud and waste in the Department of Government Efficiency.
“Musk’s commando staff includes guys who are 21, 23, 24 and 25,” the journalist wrote in a post on X.
“One is *19* years old. His job title is ‘Expert.” he continued. “When you were 19, what were you an expert at?”

Farhi was responding to a ProPublica post about Musk’s “Demolition Crew,” complaining that DOGE workers – including the younger staffers – “are wresting authority from career workers and commandeering computer systems.”
The left has been apoplectic over President Donald Trump’s temporary department going after billions of wasted taxpayer money and seems particularly incensed that Musk has tapped a team of under-30-year-olds to get the job done. The outrage adds to the irony of Democrats like 84-year-old Rep. Nancy Pelosi running for another term in Congress and 24-year-old gun control activist David Hogg who was elected vice chair of the Democratic National Committee.

Farhi was dragged on X for his argument as many reminded him of his other past celebrations of youth, such as clamoring for then-16-year-old climate activist Greta Thunberg to get the Nobel Peace Prize.
