Joy Behar says J6er needs more than 7-yr sentence to learn a lesson: ‘Maybe scrub Pelosi’s floors’

Guy Reffitt was sentenced to more than 7 years in prison on Monday for his actions on January 6, 2021, and the liberal harpies at “The View” saw fit to celebrate what many consider to be a politically motivated miscarriage of justice under the false banner of an “insurrection.”

“The View” saw fit to air footage of his children commenting on the sentence and denouncing former President Donald Trump — Reffitt’s own son turned him in and is now saying his father “deserves” the harsh penalty. Cohost Joy Behar called the son’s actions “tough love.”

“Listen, you didn’t have to do what you did. You didn’t have to do it the way you did it,” cohost Whoopi Goldberg said, after berating Reffitt for not copping a plea deal and “costing” taxpayers two trials. “The courts were trying to be lenient, that’s how I feel. But that’s just my opinion.”

Though he never entered the Capitol, Reffitt allegedly “lit the match” of the protest at the U.S. Capitol that got out of hand, according to prosecutors and received the longest sentence of any protestor to date, even though the Biden Justice Department wanted more. He was found guilty in March on two counts of civil disorder and one count of obstruction of an official proceeding, entering and remaining on restricted grounds with a firearm and obstruction of justice.

“Prosecutors were asking for 15 years and he got seven,” cohost Sonny Hostin said. “I think the seven years was a gift. When you think about his involvement, he showed up to the Capitol with a weapon. He also said something like, ‘I can’t wait to drag Nancy Pelosi down these stairs and see her head hit every single stair on the way out.’ I mean that is a threat of violence, the potential for violence, and he’s now admitted that he was very crazy back then because he was listening to everything Donald Trump told him.”

Behar then weighed in to offer the stupidest comment of the segment, which is saying something.

“I don’t think it’s gonna help anybody just to put him in jail,” she said. “He needs to go to jail and also maybe scrub Nancy’s floors or do something.”

“He’s gonna be more radicalized in prison, I don’t think it’s gonna help him,” Behar added. “Unless he does something else to show him the error of his ways.”

Whoopi offered that Reffitt should “have to sit across from Nancy Pelosi so she can say him, ‘Why did you want to kill me? What possessed you?'”

“It’s domestic terrorism,” Hostin opined, feeling smug in her embrace of alleged justice.
