MSNBC’s Joy Reid reacted to a segment by Fox News host Jesse Watters in which he was critical of retail giant Target’s featuring of “woke” Christmas decorations that promote the homosexual lifestyle.
The “race lady” was stirred up over her competitor’s commentary on the Minneapolis-based big-box chain’s holiday outreach to the very special demographic including a nutcracker toting a “Pride” flag and a handicapped black Santa in a wheelchair, merchandise that sparked outrage on social media.
Doing her part to help LGBTQ+ activists keep the Yule log of the left’s persecution complex stoked for the Christmas season, Reid suggested that Watters and other Republicans were bigots on Friday’s edition of “The Reid Out” on the left-wing cable network.

“Since just the mere words ‘diversity and inclusion’ incite a tantrum over at Fox, this year’s war on Christmas meltdown over inanimate objects, it came early, thanks to Jesse Watters,” she said, playing a short snipped from Watters’ take on the Target Christmas items.
“Gay nutcracker, complete with a rainbow hat, a trans flag. Full price, $12, but right now it’s on sale for eight. Target also sells Santa ornaments, but Target’s Santa is in a wheelchair and is black,” he said.
“Gay nutcracker and wheelchair Santa might be the only items in Target that don’t get looted,” Watters added, showing a clip of a hoodlum trying to help himself to a big-screen television at a Target location.
“How dare Target make the Yuletide gay?” Reid ranted. “And having black children and kids in wheelchairs see a Santa that looks like them? What is this country coming to?”
In the full segment from Thursday’s edition of “Jesse Watters Primetime,” the host welcomed former NCAA swimming star Riley Gaines to the discussion about the controversial Target seasonal swag, some of which he had in the studio.

“You have to ask yourself, you know, why do they keep pushing this? Who are they trying to appeal to? Because despite what the media portrays or how politicians are voting, this doesn’t represent the overwhelming majority of how this country— really, how the world feels on this issue. I think the majority of people, parents especially, they can acknowledge that gay nutcracker, black disabled Santa has gone way too far,” Gaines said.
Commenting on the shoplifting epidemic that has hit Target particularly hard, Watters asked “Do you think anybody’s gonna steal a gay nutcracker?” before he flung the paraplegic black Santa into the audience.
The “woke” Christmas items hit shelves around the time that the company welcomed its new “Senior LGBTQIA+ Segmentation Strategist & Pride Lead” Erik Thompson, aka “gaycruella” who wrote on social media “Time to whip out the … Glitter & Hellfire … flamethrowers and rip that old world to shreds darlings.”
