Judge orders return of alleged ‘foreign terrorist cartel’ members – at taxpayer expense

It’s bad enough that Americans have to endure the efforts of activist judges bending over backwards to afford protection to illegal immigrants, but it’s a whole other matter when U.S. taxpayers have to foot the bill to bring back designated “foreign terrorists” at the whim of these rogue jurists.

U.S. District Judge James Boasberg, who has a long history of standing in the way of the Trump administration’s efforts to enforce immigration laws, ordered the return of alleged members of the violent Tren de Aragua gang who were deported in 2025 to CECOT, the notorious prison in El Salvador, according to Fox News.

Boasberg stipulated in his ruling that the government pay for the migrants’ airfare back to the U.S., the network reported, adding that the judge argued that it’s “unclear why Plaintiffs should bear the financial cost of their return in such an instance,” noting that “this situation would never have arisen had the Government simply afforded Plaintiffs their constitutional rights before initially deporting them.”

It’s unclear how many of the 137 migrants affected may choose to return, as Boasberg acknowledged that the illegal immigrants “would be detained upon arrival.”

It’s equally unclear why the Trump administration would choose to adhere to the whims of activist judges.

“Nothing has changed; in addition to being in our country illegally, these aliens are foreign terrorists designated as alien enemies by the president,” DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin told Fox News.

“They were removed under the proper legal authorities,” McLaughlin continued. “This case is no longer about the facts or law but about Judge Boasberg’s crusade to stop President Trump from doing the will of the American People. He has been shut down by appellate courts again and again on this case.”

Meanwhile, not a single so-called activist judge has faced impeachment for abusing their authority. At the same time, a thoroughly dysfunctional and corrupt Congress has proven unable — or unwilling — to enact meaningful reforms to immigration laws, permitting their ongoing manipulation to serve narrow political interests.

Here’s a quick sampling of responses to the story, as seen on X:
