Kamala Harris asks if you’ve considered what Roe abortion ruling ‘means for the life of your sons’

Leave it to Vice President Kamala Harris to offer what may be the worst take on the Supreme Court overturning Roe v. Wade, a decision Harris called “shocking” when it comes to the “terms of democratic principles,” even though the court’s ruling is the ultimate in democracy in that it does not ban abortions, but sends the issue back to the states.

In an interview Monday with CNN’s Dana Bash, the vice president tossed up another epic word salad to offer a perspective on how the ruling would impact young men and their pursuit of casual sex. In effect, Harris borrowed from Barack Obama, who once talked about young people engaged in irresponsible sex being “punished with a baby.” But first, she rambled on about being the “daughter of a woman.”

“You know, I thought about it as a parent. We have two children who are in their 20s, a son and a daughter. I thought about it as a godparent of teenagers. I thought of it as an aunt of pre-school children,” Harris said, before Bash interjected, “And a woman yourself.”

“And a woman myself. And the daughter of a woman. And a granddaughter of a woman,” Harris replied, running with her prompt. “And you know, my husband and I are actually talking about it. We have a 23-year-old, and my mother-in-law is in her 80s. Our daughter will not know the rights for the amount of time that my mother-in-law knew these rights. Which is the right that should be well settled, that a woman should have to make decisions about her own body.”

“And when we think about it, everyone has something at risk on this. First of all, if you are a parent of sons, do think about what this means for the life of your son and what that will mean in terms of the choices he will have,” the vice president continued. “Do think about it in the context of the fact that they wrote this decision, including concurring opinions, that suggests that other rights such as the freedom to make decisions about when you were going to start a family, the freedom and the right to make decisions about contraception, IUDs, what this is going to mean in terms of in vitro fertilization.”

Personal responsibility never enters the equation when it comes to Democrats, who are aghast at the possibility of young men — and women — having to own up to the consequences of their actions. The idea of being a responsible father rejected over the choice of being able to coerce their potential baby momma into having an abortion.

As for Harris, the woman below knocks it out of the park with her spot-on impersonation that plays on the Fleetwood Mac tune, “Don’t stop thinking about tomorrow.”
