Kansas gubernatorial candidate has ‘no idea’ if Jesus was trans

Even Kansas residents might be feeling like they’re “not in Kansas anymore.”

In what seems like a national contest among Democrat candidates to out-woke each other, Kansas gubernatorial candidate Cindy Holscher steps into the ring with a hot take on Jesus.

The state senator and current Democrat gubernatorial nominee made the controversial statement in March 2023 over debate on drag performances in front of minors, Newsweek reported.

“I have no idea if Jesus was trans, gay, straight, etc.,” she reportedly wrote on X, and his currently making the rounds.

Republican Kansas gubernatorial candidate Ty Masterson posted Holscher’s “offensive” statement on X as “proof” she’s too radical for the Sunflower State.

Holscher was pushing back against a Republican-backed measure seeking to expand penalties for those who promote obscenity to minors at the time of her statement.

“She mocked Jesus Christ to defend drag shows for kids, and she’s never apologized,” Masterson told the Washington Examiner.

While presumed Democrat X users slammed Masterson for calling out his woke opponent’s “offensive” take, plenty more agreed it’s a red flag.

Not only that, according to a post by Hoslcher on X, citing Nate Silver’s prediction, the Kansas gubernatorial race is a “toss-up.”
