To many, former Trump White House advisor Kellyanne Conway has always been an odd character, especially when it comes to her estranged husband who made his name attacking her boss Donald Trump — many questioned why she would stay with George Conway after he placed her in such an awkward situation.
The couple has been in “the final stages of an amicable divorce” since March, but that didn’t stop Kellyanne from coming to her husband’s defense last week when he expressed support for the Supreme Court striking down unconstitutional affirmative action programs at the University of North Carolina and Harvard — the attorney and former Republican operative warmly embraced by the left for hating on Trump found out real quick that love has its limits when you stray from the liberal plantation.
“There are days when progressive apocalypticism approaches the level of Trumpist apocalypticism, and this day is one of them,” George Conway tweeted last week, adding, “I despise squeezing human beings into checkboxes. You should too.”
MSNBC regular Elie Mystal, who spends a lot of time on the liberal network hating on Whitey, was miffed over that stand, tweeting: “Happy ‘George Conway is not your friend’ Day for all who observe. It happens right around this time in June every goddamn year.”
And this is what drew the missus in.
“Attacking [George] for agreeing with #SupremeCourt that it’s unconstitutional to consider race in college admissions is especially rich,” Kellyanne tweeted. “George is Asian; a product of public schools; accepted to Harvard at 16, Yale Law School at 20; made partner at top law firm at 30; not a nepo baby; immigrant mother & non-college degree father; he paid off his student loans; checked no box; asked for no special preferences. He got Twitter-famous for attacking his wife & her boss. But he’s earned respect for making his own way, relying on merit and hard work.”

Quite a testament from the person who stated that George “got Twitter-famous for attacking his wife & her boss.”
The couple’s controversial daughter who’s drawn to the bright lights of her parent’s fame was impressed with her mom:

Claudia recently deleted some content she was charging up to $99 to view on a Playboy subscription page, which she billed as a means to “reclaim” her “womanhood and femininity.” But that’s a story for another time.
Social media users, on the other hand, were somewhat perplexed by Kellyanne’s actions. Here’s a quick sampling of responses to the story from Twitter:
You are loyal. It has been painful to see this play out so publicly and you have not answered back. Hope he appreciates you for trying to protect your children in the years to come.

It’s funny how many people love you when you say what they want to hear, but the moment they don’t agree with you, out come the wolves.
In this country the beautiful thing is we are allowed to disagree.
All the hate for each other the last 8 years has been exhausting.

Thank you for defending him, Kelly. He deserves that from you and from all of us. I’m just a Twitter follower of his but I enjoy both his serious takes and – perhaps more so – his witty repartee.

While I think there should be a time when Affirmative Action is no longer needed, I disagree that now is that time.
However, it’s a pleasant surprise to hear real truth from Kellyanne Conway again. What’s it been – about 7 years or so?— Rob Gurganious (@healthitlink) July 2, 2023
first for everything, I guess.
Well said, KellyAnne.
I can disagree with the SCOTUS ruling without believing that anyone who agrees with it is bad. https://t.co/tXrAaaoxSu

Why are you defending your ex-husband for being a sleazy Communist-sympathizing liar who is trying to destroy America and everything good? He excelled at Commie institutions like Harvard & Yale. Meaning he is a product of affirmative action himself. That’s all I need to know. https://t.co/GayfTxj7oW
