Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson defended herself from criticism for attending the recent Grammy Awards, a jamboree of ICE-bashing and cheap shots at President Donald J. Trump.
Jackson, who frequently acts more like an activist than an unbiased jurist, found a sympathetic ear on “The View” where the co-hosts swooned over her during Tuesday’s edition of the popular ABC daytime gabfest, a key component of the Democrat propaganda machine.

When asked by co-host Joy Behar about the Grammys and Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN), who called for an investigation into the justice’s impartiality and expressed ethics concerns, Jackson suggested that attending such awards shows are a part of her job, a doozy of an explanation that boggles the mind but will nonetheless be accepted by the show’s mouth-breathing audience.
“So, you know, some Republicans have criticized the fact that you were even there,” Behar said. “Given the sort of hot potato political thing with Bad Bunny, etc., they didn’t think you should be there. In fact, Sen. Marsha Blackburn has called for an investigation into your impartiality. So do you have any response to that?”
“Well, I mean, when you are in public life, criticism, you know, is part of the job. I’m sure all of you have faced it,” Jackson responded.
“Another part of the job, actually my job, is public outreach and education. When the justices are on recess, which is what we are doing right now, we really have an opportunity to go out into the community in various different ways,” the Biden appointee continued.
“I was actually in LA because of a moot court that I was doing at around the same time,” Jackson explained. “And it just so happened that I got nominated for this Grammy, and I was already going to be there, and I thought, ‘This is a great opportunity to highlight my work in this way and to see what’s happening at the Grammys.’”
The outspoken justice who was put on the bench by disgraced former President Joe Biden was slammed by critics over her poor judgment of showing up for the awards show, which was guaranteed to feature a parade of sanctimonious celebs railing against the Trump administration’s efforts to deport illegal aliens.
Among those lashing out was singer Billie Eilish, who, when accepting her award, declared, “F**K ICE” and claimed that the United States is on “stolen land,” and anti-ICE Puerto Rican rapper Bad Bunny, who just performed at the Super Bowl halftime show. In other words, it wasn’t an appropriate environment for a woman who will have to rule on cases involving the enforcement of federal immigration law.
Americans deserve a Supreme Court that is impartial and above political influence. When a Justice participates in such a highly politicized event, it raises ethical questions. We need an investigation into Justice Jackson’s ability to remain impartial.https://t.co/nzid4Fnl35

“Americans deserve a Supreme Court that is impartial and above political influence,” Sen. Blackburn wrote in a post to X last week after KBJ was spotted at the Grammys. “When a Justice participates in such a highly politicized event, it raises ethical questions. We need an investigation into Justice Jackson’s ability to remain impartial.”
“While it is by no means unheard of or unusual for a Supreme Court justice to attend a public function, very rarely — if ever — have justices of our nation’s highest Court been present at an event at which attendees have amplified such far-left rhetoric,” Blackburn wrote in a letter to Chief Justice John Roberts calling for him “to conduct a thorough investigation” into Jackson’s Grammys attendance and the justice’s “ability to remain impartial with respect to immigration matters that come before the Court.”
“The View” co-host Whoopi Goldberg mocked the Tennessee Republican as a snowflake.
“Let’s not forget the fact that you were nominated,” she said to Jackson. “And had no way of knowing what anyone’s speech was going to be. I would say Ms. Blackburn is snowflakean.”
Perhaps Jackson’s excuse that she was nominated for an award herself will give her cover for being at the Grammys, but some might suggest that her appearance on a brazenly political talk show like “The View” is further reason for ethical concerns.
