A 95-year-old decorated Korean War veteran was effectively booted onto the street from his nursing home in New York City to make room for illegal immigrants.
Frank Tammaro found himself homeless after his nursing home was converted to a migrant shelter for illegal immigrants. He joined Rep. Nicole Malliotakis (R-NY), who is a vocal critic of New York City’s handling of the migrant crisis, at a press conference on Monday.
“The thing I’m annoyed about is how they did it, it was very disgraceful what they did to the people in Island Shores. They gave us time to get out but they never said when and they never said they were going to get us out. And then one day, there’s a thing on the board, a notice on the board you gotta be out by March 15th,” Tammaro told reporters.
“I think that gave us like a month and a half to find out where we were gonna go. I thought my suitcases were gonna be out on the curb because I’m not that fast,” the veteran joked.

“If it weren’t for my daughter, they would’ve been out on the curb. But that’s what happened and that was it. I said ‘No, no, no, no… you’re not moving me and they said, ‘Yes, yes, yes, we are.’ And everything was done behind closed doors,” Tammaro recounted.
“And we didn’t actually have a chance to make any attempt to stop them because there wasn’t enough time,” he sadly stated.
New York City Councilman David Carr told SI Live that he was informed by the city’s Department of Social Services that the nursing home was indeed being replaced by a migrant facility that would open there this week.
According to Fox News Digital, the facility is listed as “permanently closed” online.
Complete and total disgrace. Oh how New York has fallen..

Malliotakis slammed the Democratic deal as “showing our country and our city’s priorities are backwards.”
“My blood pressure went through the roof when I found out Homes for the Homeless cut a deal with the City of New York to turn Island Shores into a migrant shelter,” the GOP lawmaker told Fox News.
“Our tax dollars as citizens of New York should not be utilized to house citizens of other countries, especially at the expense of our senior citizens and veterans who put their lives on the line, paid taxes their whole lives, and built our communities,” she angrily stated.

As tens of thousands of illegal immigrants have descended on New York City over the last year, Mayor Eric Adams has been stuffing them everywhere he can think of and busing some of them to other parts of New York. The city’s infrastructure is collapsing under the invasion and leftist housing officials are only making things worse.
Not all of the housing of illegal immigrants by Adams is holding up in court either.
“A judge sided with Staten Island lawmakers on Tuesday in ruling that a migrant facility in the borough, converted from a former Catholic school, should close,” Fox News reported.

It’s a sad day when American citizens are booted from their homes to make way for illegal non citizens.

Absolute disgrace.
I am embarrassed that our country did this to one of our own.

Indescribable levels of disrespect for Americans. Is this enough to make the people angry to the point of making this stop? Who’s okay with this crap?
