Leftist political commentator Krystal Ball made the mistake of praising a declining white population in the United States.
It started when an X user posted about the percentage of white people in America, beginning with 89.7% in 1920 and ending with an estimated 59.8% in 2025.
Look:
The % of white population in America.
1920: 89.7%
1930: 89.8%
1940: 89.8%
1950: 89.5%
1960: 88.6%
1970: 87.5%
1980: 83.1%

2000: 75.1%
2010: 72.4%
2020: 61.6%

Insane.

The user did not include a link or cite a source for their numbers, though studies have shown that the United States is “diversifying” at a rate faster than previously predicted.
Krystal Ball shared this post and declared it a “good” thing. Then, she took it a step further by saying that being against “cultural mixing” is “frankly unAmerican.”
Look:
Good. The best thing about America is the cultural mixing and feeling differently is frankly unAmerican. https://t.co/le5KlO2GRw

“Good. The best thing about America is the cultural mixing and feeling differently is frankly unAmerican,” she wrote.
X users were quick to jump on the post:
“White people feeling displaced in their own country is good and feeling differently is unAmerican”.

So america in 1920 was un-american? How does that make sense?
— captive dreamer (@captive_dreamer) December 13, 2025
It’s interesting to me that you say “good” rather than “this isn’t bad.” Those are two different things. If you believe the best thing about America is cultural mixing, I can understand maybe saying “this isn’t bad” but why is it outright “good”?

You’re saying America wasn’t American till the Hart-Celler act got rammed through in 1965. That’s not a question, that’s a correct summary of your belief.

As predicted, right on schedule: after a decade+ of calling the Great Replacement a lol “racist conspiracy theory” lmao, the libs have shifted to Step 4 in the script… pic.twitter.com/5szAvJXfP2

The Great Replacement went from “you’re a racist for claiming this is happening” to “you’re a racist for not celebrating it”.

I’m sure this means you live in a neighborhood that’s at least 50 percent black, right….right?
— Dissident West (@dissidentwest) December 13, 2025
So if cultural mixing is so good, why don’t you live in a culturally mixed area?
The USA will stand by and wait for your answer.

Why is that the best thing? Why isn’t the freedom of speech, or right to pursue a business, or right to worship God the best thing?
