LA Times faults GOP for problems in Dem-controlled one-party state of California

The Los Angeles Times is admitting that California has now turned into a third-world cesspool thanks to Democrat rule but is incredibly blaming Republicans for the one-party state’s ills.

National attention is going to inevitably be focused on the Golden State’s failed experiment with unfettered leftist government now that Kamala Harris is looking to Californicate the entire nation if she gets elected and the media will have its work cut out for it to somehow shift the blame for the debacle on the left coast.

In a possible preview of the gaslighting to come, the Times acknowledged that Democrats are at fault for the crime, squalor and homelessness, but that the neutered and powerless California GOP is somehow complicit for not doing more to prevent the state’s slide into the abyss.

“Former President Trump also loves bashing the Golden State. He is branding Vice President Kamala Harris as a home-grown radical, if not a Communist. He says she destroyed San Francisco as district attorney, destroyed the entire state as attorney general, and will turn the whole nation into a hellhole like California,” wrote columnist Steve Lopez in an acknowledgement that the Democrat destruction of California is now a national issue.

“Fine, but if that’s your perspective, whose fault is it that in California, Democrats are in charge?” Lopez asks. “I have the answer for you. It’s Republicans.”

“Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, a moderate Republican, left Sacramento in 2011 and no GOP candidate has won statewide office since then. None of them has offered winning solutions to deep-seated problems, and it might be too late for a party resurgence because as the electorate has grown more diverse,” he wrote, blaming the toothless state GOP for not doing more to introduce solutions.

As could be expected with such a ludicrous piece of spin, the Times was savaged by X users.

Recent moves out of California are also signs that the nation may not want to take the left coast plunge by electing Harris. The state legislature unexpectedly derailed the push for reparations and Governor Gavin Newsom just vetoed a controversial bill that would have given illegal aliens $150,000 housing loans.
