The Department of Homeland Security has been going to great lengths to call attention to the arrest of criminal illegal aliens in the Los Angeles area, with convictions “ranging from murder, pedophilia, fentanyl trafficking, spousal abuse, sexual assault, and armed robbery.”
However, in the eyes of the Los Angeles Times, nannies and other household workers are under siege — so much so that the newspaper helped promote on social media one of its reporters essentially coaching LA’s elite on how to “support their caregivers” and help them avoid ICE agents.
“An LA Times reporter has posted a video in which she coaches LA moms who hire illegal immigrant nannies on how to protect them from ICE and ‘limit risk’ of an ICE encounter, including suggestions to give them ‘paid leave’, walk them to a bus stop, or call them a taxi to avoid public exposure,” Fox News’ Bill Melugin said in an X post linking to the video.

Presumably, hiring illegal immigrants is a common trait among the affluent in Southern California. It’s also a contributing factor to low wages for American citizens.
As Melugin noted above, the LA Times shared the video on Instagram, along with the caption: “Fear is reverberating across child-care workers, particularly nannies, as risks heighten due to the immigration raids. Here are some ways families can help support their caregivers.”

The reporter in the video is Jenny Gold, who covers early childhood development and education for the newspaper.
Here’s a quick sampling of responses to the story, as seen on the social media platform X:
I wonder if those rich white liberals have all been submitting the proper 1099s for their nannies?
Start busting them for tax fraud, and they’ll turn on Lupita faster than you can say “dios Mios”

Pretty sick what liberal blue city moms will do to keep their illegal alien cheap labor

So the LA Times is openly aiding and abetting illegals?

The women that hire them are embroiled in illegal human trafficking and know it and don’t care because it is cheap.

The rich folks who hire illegal labor don’t pay taxes on their workers and cheat Los Angeles and California out of needed tax revenue. Those who hire illegal labor need to be fined and forced to pay back taxes. How about hiring Americans and legal workers? @NumbersUSA…
