President Joe Biden blatantly misused the Oval Office this Wednesday to deliver a full-throated, lie-filled campaign speech for Democrat presidential candidate Kamala Harris.
First, he ostensibly explained why he withdrew from the 2024 presidential race by claiming he did so “in the defense of democracy.” That was a lie. He stepped down after being pressured out of the race because of his pitiful poll numbers.
Then he framed the 2024 presidential election as a choice between good and evil, with the suggestion being that his party is the party of good, and the Republican Party is the party of evil.
“America is going to have to choose between moving forward or backward, between hope and hate, between unity and division,” he said.
This is a political speech, not a farewell address.

And then in defending why the American people should choose Harris as their president this November, Biden doubled down on his demagoguery.
“When Ben Franklin was asked, as he emerged from the convention going on, whether the founders have given America a monarchy or a republic, Franklin’s response was: ‘A republic, if you can keep it,'” he said. “A republic, if you can keep it. Whether we keep our republic is now in your hands.”
In other words, Biden told the American people to vote for Harris or lose their republic.

The president continued by spewing lie after lie after lie.
“I’m the first president in this century to report to the American people that the United States is not at war anywhere in the world,” he said.
That was an easily debunked lie.
He then framed the one-day Jan. 6th riot as “the worst attack on our democracy since the Civil War.”
That was also a lie.
“Today, the violent crime rate is at a 50-year low,” he added.
That was also a lie.
His biggest fib concerned the porous, overflowing border: “Border crossings are lower today than when the previous administration left office.”
Biden goes out like he came in: a self-aggrandizing demagogue who couldn’t tell the truth to save his life.

Reacting to the president’s campaign speech for Harris, former President Donald Trump slammed it for being insipid.
“Crooked Joe Biden’s Oval Office speech was barely understandable, and sooo bad!” he wrote on Truth Social.
Look:
“Crooked Joe Biden and lying Kamala Harris are a great embarrassment to America – there has never been a time like this,” Trump added in another post.
Democrats and their media allies meanwhile all rushed to praise Dear Leader for his “immaculate” speech of lies and demagoguery.
“If you cannot appreciate the dignity, the grace, the selflessness, the patriotism of that speech – akin to Washington’s farewell – but instead feel compelled to denigrate him, nitpick, or return to petty partisan politics I pity you,” leftist media radical Jennifer Rubin tweeted. “You’re denying yourself the majesty, the inspiration of America and of a great president. Go self-reflect.”
And yes, she really tweeted that sycophantic drivel.
