What do Vice President Kamala Harris and a $2,000 Balenciaga trash bag have in common?

RNC Co-Chair Lara Trump sat down with Fox News’s Sean Hannity to discuss Harris’s record, which conjured memories of a bizarre fashion item.
“You know, Lara, I’ve been playing Kamala in her own words,” the ‘Hannity’Â host said. “I just went through her record, it’s a partial record. We did have a new tape tonight. ‘We need the courage to stop saying the word radical Islamic terrorism. We need the courage to stop using the term illegal alien.’ And as we go through her record, it is, by far the most radical record of anybody that has ever run for the office of the presidency.”
“I would argue, in 98 days, it is the job of the Republican Party and the Trump campaign to make sure every American knows this record, backwards and forwards. That would be the winning formula to me.”
Lara Trump agreed, pointing out that the mainstream media is still firmly in the Democrat camp.
“Sean, you’re exactly right because look, I think we very clearly have seen the mainstream media, and the folks out there are not gonna do it for us. In fact, they’re trying to rewrite history. It’s been incredible to see the way they have tried to prop up Kamala Harris and really sell her as some sort of– this amazing political figure to the American people,” she said.
“It reminds me of– there was a bag that a very famous designer designed,” she continued, recalling the Men’s Trash Bag Large Pouch by Balenciaga. “This was several years ago, and it literally was a trash bag, but they sold this thing for like $2,000 thinking that people will actually buy it. It’s a similar situation with Kamala Harris. Nobody was interested in Kamala Harris even several months ago.”
“If you go back and look at some of the same folks within the media who are now championing her, they were saying ‘Should Joe Biden actually choose a different running mate? Is Kamala Harris the best person to run alongside Joe Biden? She might actually drag the ticket down.’ And now we’re supposed to buy all of the nonsense they’re spewing about her? You’re right. She was rated as the most liberal, most radical member of the United States Senate. We have to speak that loudly and clearly to the American people.”
