Larry Elder brings the reality beat down on Charlamagne tha God over Biden’s ‘you ain’t black’ remark

Talk radio personality Charlamagne tha God was blindsided by a blast from the past when GOP presidential candidate Larry Elder called him out over his lame reaction to a blatantly racist comment by then-presidential candidate Joe Biden.

Back in May 2020 when the former vice president was hitting the media circuit after he was all but coronated as the Democrat nominee, Biden stirred up controversy during an appearance on “The Breakfast Club” radio show, telling the host that “you ain’t black” if he – or presumably any African-American – voted to reelect President Donald J. Trump over him.

During a recent edition of the nationally syndicated show, Elder rebuked Charlamagne – whose real name is Lenard McKelvey – for his lack of an appropriate response to Biden, on his own show, for all of the heavily black audience to hear.

The host left the door wide open for his own humiliation when he asked the Republican hopeful if he’d ever heard the urban slang term “n**** wake-up call,” explaining that “It is an incident where a person of color forgets they are of color and are reminded rather brutally by an unexpected act of racism. Have you ever had any of those?”

“Oh, brother,” Elder answered, taking a swig off of his water bottle before unleashing a reality beat down. “Well, I’m acutely aware, Charlamagne that I’m a black person, just as you are a black person and when Joe Biden insulted you by saying ‘you ain’t really black’ if you don’t know whether you want to vote for me or vote for Donald Trump, it seems to me that should have been a wake-up call on your part.”

“How dare this guy come in here and insult you, a black man and tell you, you gotta think a certain kind of way,” he continued. “I’m amazed that you weren’t mad about that.”

Charlamagne tha God replied,  “Um, I’m not going to say I ain’t upset just like I’m not letting you upset me. You know what I mean, I don’t tend to get upset over things like that…”

Elder shot back, “Well what you just now talked about, a ‘n**** wake-up call,’ and it seemed to me that that should’ve been a wake-up call on your part to have a white guy come in here, who also said by the way – about Mitt Romney – because he didn’t want to put more regulations on Wall Street, ‘he gon’ put y’all back in chains,’” referring to another racist remark by the then-veep during the 2012 presidential campaign.

“And Joe Biden has lied for decades about his civil rights record claiming that he desegregated movie theaters and restaurants in Wilmington, Delaware when he didn’t. And he didn’t do any of that. He lied and said that he tried to visit Nelson Mandela during Apartheid, South Africa. He did not,” Elder pointed out, listing but a few of the race-baiting career politician’s remarks pandering to black people.

“And he came here and told you you aren’t even black unless you think a certain kind of way. It seems to me that should’ve been a ‘n**** wake-up call’ for you but it wasn’t, apparently,” Elder added.

The trapped host then tried to explain that he’s not a Democrat but Elder wasn’t having it. “I didn’t say you were. I don’t know what you are. I never even asked you about your party affiliation. I’m just saying, but you are black. And to have a white guy come in here and tell you you have to think a certain way otherwise you ‘ain’t black’? Wow!”

“I shouldn’t have been such a wise guy,” Biden later said of his racist comment after taking heavy fire. “No one should have to vote for any party based on their race or religion or background.”
