U.S. Rep. Lauren Boebert accused Democrat Rep. Al Green of waving a “pimp cane” at the president when asked about the Democrat’s behavior.
Boebert joined Real America’s Voice to discuss Green’s outburst during President Donald Trump’s congressional address, eventually resulting in the Democrat’s removal from the chamber after he refused to take a seat when asked to do so.
Green lashed out against Republicans over cuts to Medicaid, pointing his cane at Trump for emphasis. It didn’t take long for his fellow leftist lawmakers to defend his behavior and compare it to the antics of Boebert and Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene who had previously heckled former President Joe Biden.
“And even you had some folks on the left trying to come out early and defend this behavior and compare it to an image of Marjorie Taylor Greene and myself, who were chanting ‘Build the wall’ while all other Republicans were chanting the same phrase. And they just got that one image and acted like we completely disrupted the State of the Union. But Al Green was given multiple opportunities to stand down, to sit down, to behave, to show decorum. And he did not,” she said simply.
“[F]or him to go and shake his pimp cane at President Trump was absolutely abhorrent,” she added later in the clip.
