Leaked notes show parents who disagree with woke agenda called ‘resisters’ by California equity director

A new report about the behavior of school officials in California suggests the so-called left-wing “resistance” is no longer the actual resistance but rather the opposite.

Documents obtained by Fox News show that during a meeting last September, the Poway Unified School District’s director of equity and improvement, Shawntanet Jara, dismissed concerned parents as mere “resisters” whose worries are of no importance.

Jara posited the dismissive remarks when asked during the meeting about how to respond to parents concerned about the district’s racial essentialist indoctrination.

She replied by first suggesting that she only cared about the opinions of those who agreed with the district’s equity indoctrination scheme.

“Push back is nothing new. It’s loud but few… [L]ook at Org[anization] Change Theory: 20 percent resist, 20 percent wish you’d started 5 years ago, 60 percent just floating in the middle,” she said.

“I put my attention on the folks who were ready to move. There is a price to pay for that. But so be it. I have to sleep at night and need to know what I did was in service of children.”

Specifically addressing the topic of concerned parents, she then suggested that she didn’t care to entertain their worries.

“My goal/ job is not to change their minds. I’m clear on that and ready to articulate that to resisters. Doesn’t have to be argumentative. It’s just factual. We can disagree and still be ok,” she said.

Notice how there was no consideration of letting the concerned parents try to change her mind by citing the numerous examples of how the teaching of so-called “equity” amounts to nothing more than the teaching of racial essentialism.

Jara then responded to another question about whether or not the district’s associate superintendent, Carol Osborne, supports this racial essentialist approach.

She replied by stating that Osborne believes so-called “equity” is non-negotiable.

“Carol is very open and direct on her position with equity — a lens with which we look at everything. She too as a child didn’t feel she belonged. It’s so important for her that no other child feels that way. It makes me secure in moving forward. I’m not a check box. That’s the current feeling. Superintendent feels equity is non-negotiable,” she said.

As previously reported, “equity” is a code word for equal outcomes. Whereas the equality sought by civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr. was about ensuring everyone is afforded the same opportunity, the “equity” sought by his radicalized contemporaries is about ensuring everyone benefits from the same outcome.

The problem with equity is that the only way to manifest equal outcomes is through discrimination. That’s why the supporters of equity are OK with discriminating against Asians and whites through affirmative action, for example.

It’s also why the Biden administration, which is pro-equity, saw nothing wrong with doling out loans to only non-white farmers, despite the move clearly being bigoted.

Besides promoting blatant racism, so-called “equity” also involves stereotyping people based solely on their race.

For instance, those who believe in equity argue that caring about the scientific method, maintaining an excellent work ethic, respecting individual rights, being punctual, and planning for the future are part of the so-called “white culture.”

Conversely, equity proponents say, minorities don’t care for being punctual, and so disciplining a student for being late is racist.

It’s a twisted ideology, for sure, but it’s nevertheless exactly what the likes of Jara and Osborne are trying to teach to children — and exactly what they themselves believe.

Case in point: Their colleagues recently reportedly referred to a local mixed-race father as a “white male” after he dared to complain to them about his children being indoctrinated with racial essentialism.

“On May 17, 2022, the parent questioned district officials on its equity program in a community Zoom meeting when an associate principal ‘shouted down the parent, urging the audience not to listen to ‘white male perspective,'” Fox News reported, citing a complaint filed by the Californians for Equal Rights Foundation.

“The father told Fox News Digital that he is ‘mixed race’ and was insulted by the assumption of his heritage. He said his 5th great-grandfather was an escaped slave who fought for liberty during the Civil War in the Union’s 127th Regiment of the United States Colored Infantry.”

What exactly was the father’s beef? The school had been teaching his children that “white people are unconsciously oppressive” and that anti-white racism doesn’t exist — that, in fact, it’s impossible for white people to ever face racism and discrimination.

The school had therefore been teaching his children blatant lies rooted in racial essentialism.

And sadly, this isn’t the first school caught teaching such lies, nor will it likely be the last …
