Lawfare has reached new levels, according to a report that reveals the George Soros-connected effort of “collective noncooperation” aimed at jury selection.

Between soft-on-crime policies and the financial backing of leftist prosecutors, it’s been well-established that bad actors with big bankrolls are aiming to dismantle America from within. Now, a report from The Washington Free Beacon detailed the lengths activists are taking, including training radicals on how to accomplish jury nullification.
“As if left-wing activist judges weren’t enough,” said Fox News host Laura Ingraham as she began a segment on the report Tuesday, “now we have radicals in training trying to infiltrate jury pools across the United States.”
Within the report, the Free Beacon indicated that the Soros-funded group Community Change is said to be sponsoring Freedom Trainers working toward jury nullification.
“The group tells attendees to keep their addresses current to ensure they receive summons. Then, during the jury selection process, it advises them to ‘Never mention jury nullification,’ ‘Don’t signal an agenda,’ and ‘say you’ll listen to the evidence before forming conclusions.’ Once selected,” the outlet described, “the group tells its trainees to vote ‘not guilty’ for any reason.”
Reacting to the report, former FBI supervisory agent James Gagliano told the “The Ingraham Angle” host, “They’re teaching these potential jurors to not tell the truth, to say that you’ll be impartial and not do so.”
Worth noting, as Ingraham argued, the behavior is outright “criminal.” The Sixth Amendment of the Bill of Rights states in part, “In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial, by an impartial jury of the State and district wherein the crime shall have been committed …”
Responding to a request for comment, a Justice Department spokeswoman told the Free Beacon, “While we respect jurors’ role in the judicial process, the Department takes jury nullification and interference with official proceedings extremely seriously.”
“Any group attempting to improperly influence juries who should serve as impartial arbiters of evidence should be held accountable,” added the spokeswoman.
The Justice Department warned that efforts to influence juries undermine the judicial system.

Counted among the list of trainers, the outlet pointed to Dr. Maria J. Stephan, a guest of CBS’s “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” who appeared on the program in January to speak out against U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
In addition to the training on being selected that advises activists to wear neutral clothes and control their behavior at the courthouse, Freedom Trainers coach activists to bring pamphlets it produces to be handed out on Mondays, “before people are placed on juries.”
“Dark-money networks are intent on attacking the judicial system at every level, with their latest scheme to sway juries and encourage citizens to nullify the law,” Judicial Crisis Network President Carrie Severino told the Free Beacon. “It wasn’t enough for Soros and dark-money groups to back far-left prosecutors who released criminals and led to rising crime or to push judges who ignore the rule of law.”
“These latest attempts challenge the constitutional right to an impartial jury and, even worse, encourage citizens to bypass laws passed by our elected representatives,” she added. “This is just one more aspect of the legal system these extreme groups are trying to infiltrate.”
