Left-wing extremists have been accused by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) of helping child rapists and other degenerates evade arrest.
Speaking with Fox News, DHS said that a group of left-wing extremists calling themselves the Colorado Rapid Response Network helped a convicted child rapist escape detection by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents last summer.
Using bullhorns, the group alerted child rapist Jose Reyes Leon-Deras of ICE’s presence on June 20th of 2025. Not until seven days later was Leon-Deras finally found, scooped up by federal agents, and eventually issued a final order of removal.

DHS also documented a case of an apartment manager in Minneapolis, Minnesota, who’d prevented ICE agents from entering an apartment building containing a Somali illegal alien convicted of violent sex crimes.
“DHS accused the apartment manager of actively protecting a sex offender, Mahad Abdulkadir Yusuf, who had a conviction for criminal sexual conduct in the first degree,” Fox News notes. “He allegedly forcibly compelled his victim to perform sex acts on him on multiple occasions.”
“According to DHS, Yusuf was also arrested in 2016 for first-degree assault and had an active warrant out for obstructing police. Yusuf originally entered the United States in 1996 and was a lawful permanent resident, but his crimes made him eligible for removal, and ICE arrested him Dec. 31.”
Another degenerate, Jozias Natanael Carmona-Pena, was assisted by both left-wing extremists and Minneapolis’ “sanctuary city” leaders.
First, despite having had pending charges for lewd and lascivious acts with a child, the Minneapolis police released Carmona-Pena back onto the streets instead of turning him over to ICE.
And second, when ICE agents went to arrest him on Dec. 10, left-wing extremists interfered by, among other things, ramming their vehicle into an ICE car.
To their credit, local police reportedly rushed to assist, but sadly, Carmona-Pena escaped, managing to avoid arrest for another seven or so days.
Next up is Eduardo Flores-Ruiz, an illegal alien charged with domestic abuse who was infamously rushed out a courthouse back door last April by rogue former judge Hannah Dugan.

Something similar happened again recently when Judge Sheridan Jack-Browne let convicted rapist Gerardo Miguel Mora out a back door rather than turn him over to ICE.

The next example can be traced to Illinois, where federal agents were chasing a Venezuelan gang member, only to be obstructed by left-wing extremists.
“DHS said when the suspect tried to barricade himself inside an apartment — after ramming his car into police — bystanders gathered around the officers and began throwing rocks and bottles at them,” Fox News notes.
Making matters worse, local police wouldn’t assist. Thanks to the interruptions and lack of support, it took hours to finally arrest the gang member.
“These are the monsters that agitators and sanctuary politicians are protecting,” Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin told Fox News. “We remind the public that obstructing law enforcement is a felony and a federal crime.”
“As our law enforcement are putting their lives on the line to arrest heinous criminals, including child rapists, sex offenders, gang members and other violent offenders, our officers are facing a coordinated campaign of violence against them,” she added.
“President Trump and Secretary Noem have been very clear. We will not let agitators slow us down from removing criminal illegal aliens from American neighborhoods. If you obstruct or assault law enforcement, you will be arrested and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law,” she concluded.
