Leftist Harvard Law prof apologizes after tweeting anti-Netanyahu conspiracy theory

Harvard Law School professor emeritus Laurence Tribe, who advised the Democratic Party on the impeachment of Donald Trump, was left with egg on his face after he exploited the brutal attack on Israel by Hamas to smear Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Palestinian terrorists brutally attacked women and children over the weekend in an unprecedented attack, killing more than 700 people overall and Netanyahu responded by declaring that the State of Israel was “at war”

Tribe took to social media to tweet: “Is Netanyahu wagging the dog of war to take attention away from his own war on the independent judiciary? Can anyone put that past him?”

The hard-left professor emeritus cowardly deleted the tweet as outrage grew over the atrocities Islamic extremists were committing against civilians, many of whom were kidnapped and taken back to Gaza. Many more were raped and killed in Israel. Even left-wing lunatic Keith Olbermann objected, tweeting: “Well this is a moronic and indefensible POV.”

“I sent the tweet in response to Netanyahu’s reported comments before I saw the news of what Hamas had actually done, at which point I immediately deleted the tweet as a clearly premature, ill-informed and inappropriate response to incomplete information,” Tribe backtracked, after being contacted by Fox News.

“I obviously condemn Hamas’s terrorist attacks and unthinkable atrocities against the Israeli people, including the murder and abduction of civilians, in the strongest possible terms and fully support Israel’s right of self-defense,” he added. “Notwithstanding my long-standing condemnation of the Israeli occupation of Gaza and its activities in the West Bank.”

The left always seems to respond with energy when presented with opportunities to attack the Jewish state of Israel and the savagery on display over the weekend was no exception — supporters took to the streets in American cities like New York and Chicago to celebrate the terrorists’ barbarity.

Here’s but a small sampling of responses to the story, as seen on X:
