The left is seething mad that X accidentally censored an NPR story, and the irony is rather hilarious to everyday conservatives.
The drama started Thursday when NPR ran a story containing its version of the Arlington National Cemetery scandal.
As previously reported, a number of Golf Star families invited former President Donald Trump to participate in the ceremonies surrounding the third anniversary of the Afghanistan withdrawal.
However, the families faced unnecessary resistance from Arlington’s staff (that some attribute to the Biden administration), which in turn required that House Speaker Mike Johnson intervene and clear things up.
But this isn’t the narrative being pushed by the corporate press, which, along with NPR, has been claiming that Arlington created a fuss because Trump’s campaign staff had tried to bring their cameras with them. That would have evidently been a big no-no…

The problem is that after NPR published its version of the story, X admittedly began censoring it as a spammy link.
Look:
Hmmm, so Twitter is now marking the link to this NPR story about Trump potentially violating federal law with his Arlington National Cemetery video as “unsafe” https://t.co/77Oh6OhxAv pic.twitter.com/E8qwx2yYiM

The good news is that X has since backtracked, admitted that an error occurred, and fixed it. Problem solved.
Look:
Questions remain, but X says the NPR Arlington Cemetery link that was being blocked was a “false positive” and that it’s been corrected. pic.twitter.com/rbNymVwxYw

And in fairness to Twitter/X, it has censored conservatives dozens, if not hundreds of times — sometimes on purpose, like with the Hunter Biden story in 2020, and other times by “accident.”
The bottom line is that mistakes happen and life goes on, except for when you’re a member of the cult known as #BlueAnon.
According to this cult of lunatics, X owner billionaire Elon Musk purposefully orchestrated this whole “spammy link” thing to prevent X users from reading NPR’s write-up.
Moreover, according to these radicals, most of whom are staunch ANTI-free speech activists, this error by X proves that Musk doesn’t really believe in free speech.
No joke.
Look:
Could Elon be more obvious that he supports Trump???

Yep. I got the same warning when I clicked on it. Musk is such a child.

lol this shouldn’t have occurred in the first place. So much for Musk being about free speech

Censorship. Mr Free Speech is suppressing (and effectively
censoring) a factually accurate story by NPR. Free speech, my ass. Elon Musk is just fine with suppressing speech he doesn’t like.— Formerly MTfromCC (@TMtfromcc) August 29, 2024

Trying to block links to NPR? How very Project 2025 of Elon, literally in their fashy manifesto they speak of destroying NPR because it’s “leftist”

The whining and grievances were too much for one conservative who was quick to note the hilarious irony of these leftists’ complaints.
“So go look in the comments to see how much the lefties complain about ONE SINGLE THING that got slightly censored – you’d think the world had ended,” the conservative tweeted. “Contrast that with the daily suppression many of us face.”
Exactly!

That being said I don’t think the link to the NPR story should have… https://t.co/G6Ajt7ZspI

Yet, despite the censorship that the right faces from the institutional left, this is what the conservative had to say about NPR’s story being censored: “I don’t think the link to the NPR story should have been tagged in any way.”
Good luck finding a single liberal voice who’s willing to say the same about the Hunter Biden story that was PURPOSEFULLY censored and silenced by not only Twitter/X but the entire corporate propaganda press in 2020.
