‘Let’s turn down the heat’: Mark Levin extends olive branch to Megyn Kelly after chilling claim

The feud between right-wingers Megyn Kelly and Mark Levin reached such a fevered pitch this week that Levin begged Kelly to tone it down.

The months-long feud, which recently peaked with Kelly calling Levin “micropenis” and Levin calling her “deep throat,” reached a disturbing stage this Thursday when Kelly said she believes Levin wants her dead.

“I actually believe that Mark Levin would like to have me killed,” she said during a discussion on her YouTube show. “I do believe it. I think he’d be thrilled to see me taken out, like, actually.”

“That’s so f–king crazy to me. There’s no one, no one politically, who I would ever wish that upon, ever. There’s no one whose death I would celebrate. There’s no one whom I would intentionally endanger with really crazy ass rhetoric,” she continued.

Kelly added that she’s confident Levin is aware that his ridiculously incendiary comments are endangering people like her and fellow right-wing commentator Tucker Carlson.

“He knows what he says about Tucker, about me, about many others is actually endangering,” she insisted. “To over and over call somebody a neo-Nazi, to suggest that they want Jews killed because they say things like, ‘young people no longer support Israel.’ It’s so irresponsible. It’s lunacy.”

Shockingly, Levin doesn’t respond by doubling down and firing back, as is his usual style. This time, he chose to instead post an almost endearing appeal to Kelly, begging her to tone it down.

“Megyn, can we at least agree that I absolutely do not want, and would never want, any harm to come to you,” he wrote. “And I have never said otherwise and would never say otherwise. I suggest we turn down the heat.”

Responding to Levin’s post, roughly half of the respondents expressed support for him while the other half denigrated him.

What’s ironic is that around the time Levin posted his spiel directed at Kelly, President Donald Trump posted a lengthy screed to Truth Social ripping into Kelly, Carlson, and a couple others as “losers.”‘

“I know why Tucker Carlson, Megyn Kelly, Candace Owens, and Alex Jones have all been fighting me for years, especially by the fact that they think it is wonderful for Iran, the Number One State Sponsor of Terror, to have a Nuclear Weapon — Because they have one thing in common, Low IQs,” he wrote.

“They’re stupid people, they know it, their families know it, and everyone else knows it, too! Look at their past, look at their record. They don’t have what it takes, and they never did! They’ve all been thrown off Television, lost their Shows, and aren’t even invited on TV because nobody cares about them, they’re NUT JOBS, TROUBLEMAKERS, and will say anything necessary for some ‘free’ and cheap publicity,” he added.

Note that Levin is a close Trump ally whom the president has repeatedly praised in recent tweets.

Speaking of Levin, he liked the president’s post so much that he retweeted it:

The retweet was posted about an hour before his mea culpa to Kelly.

This time, the responses almost all seemed to be negative.
