Lewandowski pushes MSNBC’s Melber to the EDGE in heated battle over Trump quote: ‘I’m putting you on notice!’

A deranged MSNBC host threatened to sue Trump aide Corey Lewandowski this Thursday for daring to call him out on live TV.

Appearing on MSNBC host Ari Melber’s show, Lewandowski was pressed about a lie he once told to MSNBC years ago.

But instead of addressing the lie, Lewandowski turned the tables on Melber by bringing up something HE had once said that was bull.

Lewandowski specifically brought up the recent time that Melber described former President Donald Trump’s post-assassination-attempt bandage as a “spectacle.”

“Ari, if we’re going down this road, are you going to state that Donald Trump had a bandage on his ear just for a spectacle?” Lewandowski said Wednesday to Melber. “Are you going to state that that was false?”

“The guy got shot in the head, and you said the only reason he had a bandage on his ear—I could read you the quote if you want—that you said it was just for a spectacle. So if you want to apologize, Ari,” he added.

Melber immediately deflected by claiming that when he’d made the remark about Trump’s bandage, he’d been quoting the New York Times.

“I quoted a New York Times article that said at the convention Donald Trump was his own biggest prop,” the MSNBC host claimed. “It was a New York Times quote about how he had become such an important figure in rebounding from what was a horrific assassination attempt.”

“Fox News, many viewers may not know about this, but apparently you do, and some do. Fox News, which has been caught in defamation, ran a false piece falsely stating that I said something else that I didn’t say,” he added.

It was Fox News that originally ran a story on July 17th about Melber’s ignorant remark.

“MSNBC host Ari Melber called Trump’s ear bandage a ‘spectacle’ after the former president made his first public appearance since a would-be assassin tried to gun him down during his rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, on Saturday,” Fox News reported.

After Melber finished speaking, Lewandowksi called him out.

“So you didn’t say this bandage was a proper spectacle from a candidate who’s obsessed with spectacles? I have it right here,” he said as he pointed to a piece of paper containing the Melber quote.

“What you have is a false quote,” Melber replied.

“You absolutely said it,” a disbelieving Lewandowksi pushed back.

And that’s when Melber snapped.

“What you have is a false quote,” he barked. “I’m putting you on notice. If you continue to repeat falsely that I said that, you will be potentially in a defamation situation because I didn’t say that.”

“But I understand that you’re working off the Internet, which is a lot of false information. I wish you luck with that. Corey Lewandowski, we gave you time,” he added before ending the segment.

As proof that he was right, Lewandowksi later posted a video clip to Twitter/X containing both some of his discussion with Melber, as well as footage of Melber making the bandage remarks weeks earlier.

In an additional clip seen below, Melber does quote from a New York Times article, but he does so BEFORE going on to opine on his own about Trump’s bandage.

Watch:

It seems quite clear that Melber did in fact lie, just as Lewandowski had claimed.

Responding to Lewandowski’s tweet, his supporters have been slamming Melber and calling for the Trump aide to counter-sue MSNBC for pushing so much propaganda.
