Libs call for head of federal agent who bounced Dem candidate over ICE blockade

Leftist aims to demonize law enforcement officials found them calling for the termination of an agent after one of several congressional candidates was seen being forcibly removed from an ICE blockade.

As President Donald Trump’s efforts to restore national sovereignty continue across the country, Democrats have turned illegal immigration detention facilities into makeshift campaign events. Such was the case outside Chicago on Friday when congressional hopeful Kat Abughazaleh leveraged deportation efforts into a campaign fundraiser by getting tossed multiple times by a federal agent while blocking a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement operation.

“Once last week, twice today, ICE has picked me up and thrown me on the ground,” the former Media Matters for America employee told New Republic as video of the incidents circulated online, prompting leftists to call for the agent to lose his job. “Honestly, it doesn’t compare to what our neighbors who are trapped inside the Broadview processing facility are going through. They’re committing crimes against humanity there.”

She’d also argued while sharing videos from the scene, “This is what it looks like when ICE violates our First Amendment rights,” while others shared similar clips pointing out both the leftist outrage and the reality that “Impeding a federal ICE operation is a crime.”

Currently in a relationship with former NBC reporter Ben Collins, CEO of Global Tetrahedron, owners of The Onion, Abughazaleh was one of a crowded field seeking to fill the seat of retiring Illinois Rep. Jan Schakowsky (D).

A number of her fellow candidates were also in attendance, claiming “peaceful protesters” were being victimized.

Countering the spin from leftists, the Department of Homeland Security and officials called out what the activists were really representing, as well as the consequences for impeding law enforcement.

A statement from DHS read, “Individuals and groups impeding ICE operations are siding with vicious cartels, human traffickers, and violent criminals. You will not stop @ICEgov and DHS law enforcement from enforcing our immigration laws,” while DHS Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs Tricia McLaughlin told MSNBC, “These fame hungry, sanctuary politicians are so desperate for their 15-minutes of fame that they will go so far as to put our law enforcement at risk and obstruct justice.”

Meanwhile, DHS Secretary Kristi Noem reminded, “If you lay a hand on our law enforcement, we will prosecute you to the fullest extent of the law. God bless our @ICEgov and @CBP officers.”

Additionally, reactions from conservatives remained fully in support of the efforts of immigration enforcement officials, at the same time they sought to shame Abughazaleh.

Outspoken survivor of communist China, Xi Van Fleet was among those reacting to the congressional hopeful’s antics as she contended, “Being part of a lawless mob should disqualify you from running for Congress.”
