Unemployed politician Liz Cheney is peddling a new book for a little cash in her pockets and, given her virulent anti-Trump stance, the major networks are only too happy to help.
In an appearance Thursday on “CBS Mornings,” Cheney strengthened her appeal to the media by attacking Republicans at large, hitting GOP presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy for claiming during Wednesday night’s debate that the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol was an “inside job.”
“If what he means by ‘inside job’ is it was a sitting president of the United States who launched a coup against the government, that there were members of the House of Representatives who helped him … that absolutely is true,” Cheney said, defending what proved to be her swan song as a congresswoman, siding with Democrats in accusing Donald Trump of an insurrection.
Ramaswamy gave voice to several conspiracy theories during the debate, including the claim that the 2020 election was stolen.
“The real enemy is not Donald Trump. It’s not even Joe Biden. It is the deep state that at least Donald Trump attempted to take on,” he said. “And if you want somebody who’s going to speak truth to power, then vote for somebody who’s going to speak the truth to you. Why am I the only person on the stage at least who can say that Jan. 6 now does look like it was an inside job?”
“That the government lied to us for 20 years about Saudi Arabia’s involvement in 9/11? That the great replacement theory is not some grand right-wing conspiracy theory, but a basic statement of the Democratic Party’s platform? That the 2020 election was indeed stolen by Big Tech?” Ramaswamy added.
Cheney likened Ramaswamy’s remarks to “Area 51 conspiracy theory garbage,” and claimed he is “the dream of the Chinese Community Party” and “of the Russian government.”
“What he is doing and saying and the extent to which he is just serving as a really destructive force is something that our adversaries I’m sure are pleased about,” she said.
Here’s a quick sampling of responses to the story, as seen on X:
Fed officers opened the door, escorted protestors around the capitol, removed barriers, and waved protestors inside. Being aided by local officers qualifies as an ‘inside job’.

If Pelosi wanted no outsiders to be on the Capitol grounds on J6, there would be no outsiders on the grounds of the Capitol on J6. It could have been exactly like a State of the Union address with fences and maximum security but it wasn’t. Why? Because it was a known setup by D’s

She’s playing cover and is neck deep in it. Cheney is afraid she’ll end up in jail.
